For those of you outside of Columbus: http://www.dispatch.com/dispatch/co...05/15/crew15.ART_ART_05-15-07_C3_6G6NIPG.html Insert joke about nervous sheep here: The Uzbekistan thing is a joke right? National teams have to get work permits for single matches?
You mean, the Ukrainians thing? No it isn't a joke. Teams are required to have their players' credentials (passports, visas, work permits, etc) all lined up before they can enter the other country. I can distinctly remember that the Israeli national team has either had trouble getting these, and/or permitting other teams to enter Israel for games. I also vaguely remember something happening within CONCACAF that has kept several players out of either qualifying matches or something like the Gold Cup. I think w/ Homeland Security, it has become more challenging for players to come play here. It used to be that the US and a large number of other countries wouldn't require visa to enter the country, that you'd get something like 90-days to visit before needing a visa.
must of impressed in his five minutes of starting time on the field last Saturday. Well it's good at least maybe he can get some playing time for New Zealand if he isn't getting it with the Crew.
In the two reserve games at home, Duncan has featured strongly in each. You'd have to check the report to see if he played away at teh KC reserve match. He also played 45 in the Senn match. I think that his role in the starting 11 has been taken by O'Rourke, thus he's got some ground to make up.
i'd like to see a midfield with ------------Grabavoy------------- ---O'Rourke-----------Oughton---- That would be badass. I think Dunc could outplay Migs. Hell, put Migs at left back... Imagine that with a forward three that was --Virtuoso----Palermo----Schelotto-- UNSTOPPABLE! It's shaping up to be a good year for Crew fans. A mighty good year. This is the best Kool-Aid I've had in a while.
Yes. We've never had a decent left back. Of course, Placid will tell you Paul Bodin was world class, but what does he know?
