Huddersfield's U18 playoff final game against QPR at Loftus Road on Wednesday (2pm EST) will be streamed on Huddersfield's homepage. For those wanting to watch Holmes in action, this will be your chance.
Here's the link to watch. Holmes is #8 Watch here http://www.htafc.com/news/article/academy-news-watch-towns-u18s-live-823688.aspx
From reading qpr forums, most were impressed with Holmes, and also surprised/glad that someone as slight as him has been kept on by an academy rather than suffering the English fate of 'too small'.
Duane Holmes has won an award called the Donald Bell Award I've never heard of it either (since it's the first time the award has been handed out) but it sounds cool. Congrats to him http://www.lfe.org.uk/news/duane-holmes-wins-donald-bell-award
Good to hear. And cheers to whoever runs that @USAprospects twitter page, they do some good work getting info on a lot of the unknown commodities/dual internationals.
Keep an eye on this kid http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/match-reports/hull-1-0-huddersfield-match-report-2298356 "Huddersfield's best player on the night was18-year-old substitute Duane Holmes, who terrified Hull with his direct running in the second half."
It certainly appears as if Holmes is putting himself in the club's first team plans moving forward. Here were quotes from Huddersfield's coach after the game... http://www.examiner.co.uk/sport/football/news/hull-city-v-huddersfield-town-6089098
Holmes is on the bench for Huddersfield in Championship game vs. Blackpool. This is the first time he has made the matchday squad for a league game. Kickoff at 2:45pm EST.
I don't know if he's any good but he's really pretty. Seriously, he should make sure he NEVER goes to jail. Also, huge congrats for this debut.
On his first touch he makes a nice run from the left flank, uses a nice touch to get around a defender and hits a low cross that is cleared.
