I would have loved to see Fosatti as coach or maybe Bauza. They both love the country and knows the futbol.. Ecuadorian futbol is above anything any Colombian coach can bring in. Rueda is not a bad but for ecuador? Again you never know but that statement that El tin made..WOW!! I wonder how other players will take it?

First of all, El Comercio is not the one creating any kind of environment, that award goes to Luis Chiribobo. He's that one that promised the country that the next DT will take us to the next level. After waiting, God knows how many months, Chiribobo finally said he will make his decision after the World Cup. So with all the anticipation, excitement and the F-ING WAIT he finally comes up with Reinaldo Rueda?!!?!!?...Really?!?!?... I have nothing against Rueda but I don't think he is the man for the job. I would rather have Bauza or Fosatti or keep Vizuete for that matter. I also would be interested to see how the FEF made the desicion that Rueda was the best choice. After all the DT's out there and after all the games at the World Cup, Chiribobo said to himself "Rueda is our man!!" He will take us to the next level!! Maybe it was the offensive show displayed by Honduras at the WC ( came in 30th out of 32 teams in the tournament) or Rueda's knowledge of Ecuadorian soccer or maybe Chiribobo went to his criteria mentioned before. But I just don't get it!

So with that said that is why you have people in Ecuador who are not in favor of Rueda taking over as DT. You have people planning demonstrations and marches, Vizuete and El Tin making comments to the media, internet, bloggers etc. Rueda is going to come into a real tuff situation that El Comercio had no hand in creating, his new boss did.

As for #4 and 8, that would be least important on that list...
knowing Ecuadorian soccer would be the most important, be better be quick learner.

If Aguinaga wants to coach, WTF hasn't he been included in the running? The guy captained the team for years, and he's probably the most intelligent leader on the field that has ever played for Ecuador. Many other players have taken over as coach a few years after retirement, and done very well. How many classes does he need?

He's probably also seen many of those managers fail big time, in league football or with NTs.

He'll know when he is ready.

We get a mediocre DT, we will see mediocre results. If anything, I'd prefer Bolillo Gomez over this guy. I hope I am wrong, for the sake of Ecuadorian football.

Well, I'm slowly coming to terms with the idea this will probably happen.

Somebody tell me some good things about Rueda, to make me feel better. I can think of a few things:

    1. He speaks Spanish.
    2. He has nice hair.
    3. He's not fat.
    4. His first and last name start with the same letter, that's pretty cool.

What other qualities does he bring to the team?

All i gotta say is I better see Marlon De Jesus and Jaime Ayovi called up.

I better see Jairo Campos and Jefferson Hurtado start.

Vizuete hasn't made these changes, Rueda better make them immediately from day one.
