Draft may be held with *NO* agreement

    this can reap havoc on teams, what if the new cap is less than what they thought or even lower than last year...it would result in some pretty funky trades going down because they drafted someone they didnt know they couldnt afford...or worse...the new CBA changes the pay scale they have to worry about changes in pay for the girls they already have leaving the draftees (especally late rounders) out in the lurch or having the dreaded unsigned pick...i hope they settle now and not have this hanging over the head of the draft.

    They may have trouble finalizing the collective bargaining agreement until they know if Xu Ming is going to invest a hunk of money.

    But they do have to hold the draft sometime. They can only put it off so many times before it raises more questions about the stability of the league. I don't think anybody wants another "survival mode" comment. (Thank you, Tony DiCicco. And after I've always said that he never says anything memorable. Boy, was I wrong! :D)

    Teams may just have to deal with not knowing about the salary cap.
