    Nottingham forest in england

I cannot remember the name but a romanian team who won the european cup.

Although Forest aren't reaching the dizzy heights they once were, you're ignoring past history.

Before 'The Glory Years' Forest were a Second Division club going roughly nowhere. For a period of time almost unimaginable in the modern game they punched above their weight.
True, the weight of expectation from winning two European Cups back to back has been something of a monkey on Forest's back but to say they've 'gone down hill the most' since their glory days is ignoring more than just them and it's not as if they were always world-beaters and then lost it.

An example of other teams: modern fans frequently chant 'You've never won ****************** all' at Wolves. Maybe they should look in the history books.

How about Queens Park Rangers now a middling Second Division side?

In the early 50's Honved were probably the most feared team on the planet, likewise the Hungarian national team (which was basically Honved plus a few others).

Queens Park were Scottish cup winners 10 times in the 19th Century, and even reached the Engish final on one occasion. A perrenial 3rd division side now (although they have stayed true to their amateur roots - even refusing to play professional teams in the early days of Scottish football)

Sheffield Wednesday appeared in several cup finals in the early 90's and finished 3rd in the 1992 English League. Now they are facing relegation to the Second Division.

League Champions in 1960 and one of 12 founder members, Burnley were almost relegated out of the League in 1987, only preserving their status on the final day.

Stade Reims twice lost to Real Madrid in the European Cup final. Now I think they struggle in the lower French leagues.

When forest went down in 93 everyone said that they were too good to go down but they went down and have pretty much sayed down. And yes they were a crap team before clough took over but look at what they became they were the knigs of europe and now thier not even the prince of the midlands.

You could say similar about Ipswich.

Every team is 'too good to go down' to its fans.

Reims are by far the club that's gone most downhill, forget Forest. Twice European Cup finalists that had two of France's all-time greats, Raymond Kopa and Just Fontaine, starring for them - now in the French amateur divisions.

Steaua Bucarest hasn't really gone that far downhill. They're still a top romanian team, and I'm pretty sure we'll see them in CL or UEFAcup qualifiations later this year.

I think a team have to drop several levels to be Down-the-crapper kings. Anyone knows exactly where Stade Reims plays now? How many levels down?

I think this is sort of not in the competition, but my club, in the mid 60's one of Sweden's top 15, today plays in division 6 (level 7) :(
