No he’s definitely faster than those two but his positioning isn’t as good IMO. My issue with him is he seems like very good fit as the right sided CB in a back three, where he can roam a little forward but I’ve not seen much of him in a back four admittedly. The one to look out for from that team is Bastoni in my opinion.
Antonio Conte: “Achraf Hakimi’s dream is to return to Real Madrid and play as a key man.” #rmlive 🇲🇦🚨— Madrid Universal (@MadridUniversal) September 16, 2021
He’s stuck in prison until 2026. At that point he’s 26 and younger superior players will be out there. He had his chance here.
Hakimi is a baaaaaad defender. RB in 4 man backline and he’s a disaster. Can only play in 5 man backline or pushed up as a RM.
Yea, I doubt a FB will endure the kind of pressure Mbappe dealt with from PSG management. Hakimi will get Rabiot/Cavani "in the stands" treatment if he doesn't renew.
My concern as well. He's only played as a RWB at Dortmund and Inter for 3 years. And he was a defensive liability at Dortmund even with 3 CB set up giving more cover.
Hasn't he played RB in a 4-man lineup every game so far this season? Guess we will see how he does there this year.
Yes and no. If he proves to be the best at his position at that age surely there’s a way back for him. But as others have said he’d have to improve a lot defensively imo.
Disagree. Hakimi has more to his game going forwards and judging by CA tactical setup, we're now more attack minded than we have been in several seasons. Given that we have Valverde / Casemiro / Camavinga, we can compensate the defensive side slightly.
Still very early, but currently we have the most goals conceded in the top half of the table (by two goals no less), probably not looking for a way to go more offensive right now.
Indeed, we need balance, can't be just all out attack and devil may care when we don't have the ball, Hakimi reminds me of TAA, deadly going forward, where is he? or, what was that? when opponents attack, some fans already berate Carva when he's not fully on his game, and i firmly believe he's better than Hakimi, imagine Hakimi in that spot.
I think the key is balance, if Mendy is playing LB a more adventurous RB could work. But Hakimi can't use that as an excuse to not continue to develop the defensive side of his game, and he needs a lot of work there
We all know where Hakimi plays and why he won't be near our jersey again. His name should not be mentioned in the next three seasons here.
Instead of Goretzka/Pogba; we should really look at Declan Rice. Only problem is he's English who tend to fare poorly outside of Britain.
Eduard Romeu, vice-president of the economic department of Barca: "It is possible that Real Madrid could sign Mbappé and Haaland. Madrid is a great club and has a very great strength. If we had done our homework in recent years, we would be in the same situation. Florentino Pérez has a club management that you have to take your hat off. At an economic and business level, no one is going to match Mr. Pérez. I have great admiration for him on a business level and on a personal level he has been very kind every time we have met. I can only give words of praise to him. " Barca's current economic condition: "The present and the future condition us a lot. We already took the reins in March and in six months we have done an immense job to improve the situation at a structural level. We have to continue working, but we intend to return to business as soon as possible to be at the competitive level. We have to put the salary and expenses of the club in tune to be able to return to the world of transfers and compete face-to-face with the best clubs in Europe. https://www.marca.com/futbol/barcelona/2021/09/17/6143c192268e3e733f8b45d3.html
I really hate this kkind of nonsense because the guy had a contract and no obligation to leave (ask Mariano) and yet, he left TWICE (Inter, PSG). Honestly, at some point, football media has to stop treating people like they are idiots. You had multiple chances to be in Madrid. Better take the Morata path and simply cut ties.
What's wrong with making the tough decision to move somewhere you can get playing time and improve the way that only real matchtime can, while still dreaming of moving back to your home club when the timing is better? (He couldn't have predicted just how much time Carvajal would miss.) And it's not like Mariano is staying just because he loves Real Madrid so much.
Also it's not like the club "had" to sell him and then give Lucas Vasquez an extended contract to take up the exact same role in the team (versatile right wing player). Hakimi would have been a big upgrade on LV at any point the last couple of seasons as far as I'm concerned and that's a mistake that's on the front office.
He's a sucker for leaving the door open all the time. He ASKED to leave. Not one time, but THREE times. Dude is like a cheater telling his wife she's the only one she loves. I don't care what he wants. I'd be sick if we pay a transfer fee for the guy, good luck wherever you are but that ship has sailed for this bozo.
Why? We moved on, it's him that's clinging on and having dreams and hopes. I think this is a player that's available almost every summer at that talent level and quality range. I don't really think about him tbh. We'll have a new Achraf Hakimi in the academy within two years.
Hmmm, i thought it was only once that he asked to leave, if it's true that he has asked to leave 3 times then what is he pining for, the opportunities were there.
