This probably an unpopular opinion and even though I’d love Mbappe at Madrid, cause who doesnt want the beat players at their club? But I feel like it’s plaster covering over cracks. Mbappe follows the CR7 model.. but the C7 model worked cause we had squad, the supporting act that ensured the lead actor shone bright! Unless Ancelotti comes with revolutionary ideas, even if we get Mbappe we still have fundamentals issues that needs addressing. Midfield, defense and a Hazard issue that seems not to be going away.

 

Mbappe is cracks being filled and one significant issue finally being solved. No one has said he solves all problems.

That is the big domino. The rest of our issues we could literally solve signing free players next summer and allowing some players to grow this season.

We would even have the options for Halaand next summer for €75M as well.
