It's really hard to tell whether they are preparing for Mbappe's departure or going balls out for one season to finally win the CL they are so desperate for. Given the general way Nasser talks and acts, I'm starting to think the latter.

 

I agree with you. I don't think they care about money as much since they're state funded. If there's any team that won't care about p**sing away 150 Million just to protect their pride, it would be PSG. Real Madrid's gain. We could get a world class player for free. That even helps us improve the wages we could offer him. Win-win for us.

 

No harm for PSG right now, everyone is talking about that club and in the same context as the world's best club. They can sell in August or lose for free next year possibly with a CL trophy on the way out. In any case they are raising the notoriety around the brand.

Let's say we get him, what does our attack look like? Midfield? RB? I have lots of questions.

 

Midfield: Kroos, Modric, Casemiro, Fede, Odegaard, Blanco

RB: Carvajal, Lucas.

Carva had one injury plauged season, bit he did play 30+ league games the year before and had consistently been available for around 25 league games in years prior to that. There aren't many better RBs than Carvajal on both ends.

 

Call me overly optimistic, but I have a sneaky feeling that Flo will get this deal done, by hook or crook, by the end of August.

Whilst FFP doesn't matter for PSG this year, it will next year, and blowing away 150m from the books, doesn't entirely make sense even for an oil-money club.

Win titles for PSG ? That’s mean he stay at PSG this season ?

 

It means that if he is forced to stay another season, with PSG refusing to negotiate his sale, then he will remain focussed next season on winning titles. I.e. he will remain professional until the end of his contract.

 

The bigger question is the rest that add up to 25 roster spots....
