You're right, they used to have BPL, La Liga, Serie A fantasy leagues, now nothing. I don't know about any other sites. edit: found article on yahoo dropping fantasy soccer http://www.nevermanagealone.com/2015/7/9/8925131/official-yahoo-cancels-fantasy-premier-league-game
Surely it's not too much asked that mods, the servants of the forum, just quickly code one such site? Make it nice, too.
I've never played any fantasy sports but just searched fantasy soccer liga bbva and got a ton of hits, looks like ESPN, fagames, draftsoccer, fantasy-liga, etc. all run leagues, no idea of formats or whether free. That last changing of the Liga schedule by the RFEF really hurts Barca. Those UCL matches I mentioned above, with Arda and Vidal having to wait one extra matchday to debut. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but DAMN. wtf?!
LOL!! Talk about Franco corruption!! Jesus its so obvious!! http://www.goal.com/en/news/12/spain/2015/08/27/14811002/piques-four-game-ban-upheld?ICID=HP_BN_10
Barca really dominated in Monaco today, recognized defending champ and now 5 time winner which dominated the past decade, landslide player of the year and runner up, goal of the year, save of the year, Zubi, Puyol, Belletti, and Abidal all there. Cool 90 second video: http://www.fcbarcelona.com/football...highlights-barca-s-key-role-at-draw-in-monaco
The footytube la liga one looks decent. Mind you I have never played fantasy la liga. I would offer to run a manual fantasy league, but I often watch matches on delay, so I would be updating the weekend stats on a Wednesday. Plus, I would need a good source of La Liga stats (with at least assists and goals, etc.)
Good read for those who don't know the Di Stefano transfer basics: http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2015/aug/28/the-joy-of-six-transfer-hijackings
CL squad released, these can be updated in January when we will add Turan, Vidal, and perhaps someone else. And maybe ship out Adriano or Douglas or one of our young forwards if we sign another? http://www.sport-english.com/en/new...o-named-barcas-champions-league-squad-4474743 Beyond the 22 first teamers we see five from Barca B included: 27. Cámara (attacking mid, DM, left wing) 28. Gumbau (DM, CB, attacking mid) List B: 26. Samper (DM, attacking mid) 29. Babunski (attacking mid, left wing, DM) 30. Grimaldo (left back, left attacking mid) 31. José Suárez (Goalie) So basically a ton of midfield depth (attacking and DM) which we will need if Iniesta, Rakitic, Rafinha, Busquets, S'Roberto gets hurt; also some extra cover at left wing and left back.
I'd love for Grimaldo to get some playing time. And Samper before Gumbau. I don't get why we list the goalie if we have 3 already.
I got 7 for 10, not too bad: http://www.fcbarcelona.com/football/first-team/detail/article/champions-league-group-stage-quiz
I suppose it is insurance over the benefit having one more outfield player. Like, how valuable contribution can that last outfield player really make? Whereas it's at least theoretically possible that two goalies are injured simultaneously - it's a position that needs extra depth because players of other positions cannot "fill in" like, say, a DM can play as a CB or CM. So, imo, a good decision (although of course a minor one either way).
Sergi Roberto has not been practicing and now the media are both whining about Barca not informing them and claiming it is because he got a muscle tear/lesion at the end of the Malaga match and is a risk to not be ready for Atletico. With Alves and Douglas also out injured the only good news is that Adriano returned to practice finally after suffering a groin injury. Also Bartra has played some RB before. Sad if S. Roberto misses time as this is one of his big chances (just like last season when Busquets got injured and the team looked better with S. Roberto at DM than it did with Masch moving forward). But what strikes me as funny is that the press seems all in a tizzy that they were not informed by the club that he picked up an injury - as though the club has an obligation to the press esp. with the game over a week away.
