Well done Rost in saving the penalty.

Frings, what a pathetic dive! He should be ashamed, but as the commentator said, Rost made no protest - why not? Don't know what the referee was watching. Blatant dive, but justice served by a woefully taken penalty.

Rosicky shown red. What a classy player, right in front of the team dugouts with a tackle like that. Just disgraced himself moments before the 'Schwalbe', in his pitiful attempt to get a penalty.

    Re: wtf?

Yup. Bloody disgrace. The tackle that got him sent off, when you watch it on replay, shows that he was never going to get hear the ball - with studs showing.

I actually think he is a very talented player, but he has let himself and his team down in the space of a couple of minutes.

    Not if Frings is involved!!

Didnt he just return from injury? Someone else has got to be able to finish from the spot.

I bet Sammer is suffering from acid indigestion!!

So much for the positive start to the second half for Dortmund.

    Do NOT post results!
NO match RESULTS in subjects. Please use [R], or you will receive a yellow card

Frankfurt Blue, you are a dumbass.

No, you are dumb, and I will prove it too you. It isn't a result I posted, coz at 88 minutes the game was 1-0, not over. Therefore not a result. Simple. As you can see I started posting at the start of the game as I was watching it. I was just typing key moments.

    So, got my point? Dumbass!

    Sounds like an exciting match.

I always love to see Dortmund lose but this time somehow feel sorry for them.

FB, a score at the 88th minute is still a result - just not a final. :)

Next time put an [R] in the title, and everybody will be HAPPY. (well, maybe)

Yah they are very anal here about results but the Germany forum isn't exactly the most vivacious forum on BigSoccer so it should be forgotten.

Posting about a match in a thread without an [R] is a cardable offense.

    You don't have a point.

Tom, that was funny as hell.

Do I have to tell you to look up the word? OK it was the result in the end, but that was the current score.

Result is an outcome to something. It is over/finished. This wasn't.

The Germans differentiate things differenty, in a nice way: Spielstand (current score) or Endstand (Result).

Sorry for misunderstanding, but that's how I would interpret it.

If you want NO SCORES AT ANY TIME DURING A GAME MENTIONED, MAKE IT CLEARER.

    Thank you.

How could you say that? Dortmund, at home, misses two PKs (one of which, if Blue is to be believed, was a bad call) and, although Rosicky was red-carded, the ref evened it up by expelling a Schalke player on the second PK, which means that Dortmund gave up the winner while playing 10 v. 10. In other words, Dortmund choked big-time, so it is impossible, even if you were inclined to have sympathies toward Dortmund (hard to have, from my perspective), to feel sorry for them after blowing this game.

    Well la dee fucking da.

    I see.

USING CAPITAL LETTERS DOES NOT ACCENTUATE YOUR POINT ANY MORE then using lower case letters.

    Thank you.

No, thank you. You were a great source of unintentional entertainment today.

It's just the way it goes sometimes. That's the beauty of the beatiful game. They had the chances, and when offered, you got to take them, or you might get punished for missing these chances. Dortmund certainly were punished.

Never seen 2 piss poor penalties like that in an open game. Penalty shootout, yes, but during a game, NO.

Pleased to see that you are so easily amused, as I won't have to make any effort at all in future either.

But thanks for clarifying the rules by the way.

PS You have got to see the highlights. My gran could kick a ball harder in a penalty situation.

Because things were looking so good for them after they won the Champions League
They went on the Stock Market, they signed a high profile player (Amoroso) that I couldn't have envisioned would have played in the Bundesliga, they won the league again, the sneaky buggers even stole two of our signings from under our noses (Rosicky and Kehl).

But look at them now... pathetic :(
