Why do the team start playing and stretching the opposition once they've gone a goal down?

These bozos were a pub team for all intents and purposes, its so frustrating.
Granted Heskey was very poor, & their 'keeper looked inspired, but this whole approach is no way for the mighty reds to conduct themselves.
Scraping an away draw in a knock-out competition is nothing to be optimistic about.
Sure we'll go through at Anfield but i doubt after handing out a thrashing.

For the money Houllier has spent/frittered away we should have a rock solid group of ultra eager players ready to come in & hoping to impress for a first team place.
Its tiring seeing Liverpool labouring against such modest oppostion.

    from me cell.........

Pawn, what is it you don't understand about tactics..?
You have to look a the BIG picture. We lose out on this buy the away goal (Yes they score on the return, we don't) We lose the FA cup to D and R. and we stay out of the Worthy.

Now we concentrate on the league and gain our place in the CL for next season.

    Now have you got it...;)

Yea, can't you see a "blessing in disguise" when it's right in front of you?? :)

How does the player's inability to get to grips with the vigorous opposition on that carthorse pasture of a pitch reflect on Houllier's tactics? Those are just little marks on a blackboard and a set of general formation instructions.

People are too quick to grab a handful from the cliche jar sometimes.

    How blinkered can you be?

I dont own a cliche jar, do you know where i could purchase such a vessel?

Inability to get to grips with vigourous opposition?
That statement makes my point better than I did.

Very impressive to think a yankie doodle has even heard of Dagenham & Redbridge!
A club in some disarray at the moment for off pitch & slightly dark reasons.

About as blinkered as someone who thinks that because I live in the US, that I'm US born. :)

    "& slightly dark reasons"
Mars is in retrograde right now and uranus has a dark spot in the centre.
