This seems quite ridiculous, but perhaps I am missing something...

(Note: not sure if this belongs here on FFA, but mods can decide).

This is some of the most incredible news I've ever heard.

Sounds like the Taliban all over again. Most Games are allowed in middle eastern countries, but not Greece.

What do games companies think about this? Millions down the drain. I'm amazed they don't sue.

Expect a huge black market in Greece.

This law is so stupid I don't know were to start. And who the hell in the Greek government could support something so stupid.

    When in Rome...

I mean come on guys. If you go to the soccer venue and don't have a cup holder for your bottled water like Crew stadium are you going to call the tourist minister?

Your blues ain't like mine and they might be having a true problem with gangsters and the like illegal gambling can bring.

In the US a woman was forced to drink her own breast milk and toe nail clippers can't be taken on a commercial flight even though you could buy them inside the "protected area."

I read a report on this yesterday and from what I can gather, the law was aimed at online gambling, but the way it was worded means that playing any computer games is illegal. Being half Greek I know that trying to stop Bubbles gambling is just fighting a losing battle anyway!

With the profusion of things to do in Greece: amazing scenery, beaches, mountains, food, art, etc...who cares? Anyone playing video games there must not be aware of their amazing surroundings.

Do me a God damn favour...............

We are living in the real world.

How about I stop you ever using the Internet, watching movies, or drinking beer, you'd be the first here complaining about a dictatorship.

Who really cares about online gambling? And how stopping people using gameboys is going to stop that?

maybe these gamblers are so good, that they have internet mobilephones descised as Gameboys and when the police catch them, they just have a swith which turns the screen to Mario Brothers.
