There is a rumour going round that Landon has agreed a 10 million pound transfer to Liverpool FC in the summer. Liverpool are also interested in Richard Mulrooney, Demarcus Beasley and Freddy Adu. Liverpool havent yet comfirmed these rumours true but aren't denying them. A spokesman said Liverpool are interested with several MLS players including Donovan, Mulrooney, Beasley and Adu but want to keep there interest quiet to stop rival teams becoming involved.

Assuming this is a true, and it might be because Landon seems like a good replacement for a club that is about to loose Owen. If i was LD would i go to Liverpool or Bayer Leverkusen??? give ur opinions.
I have to say I might be biased to Liverpool. Maybe it's the entire Ringo thing? buuut, i'm not holding my breath for this rumor to come true, either.
Why would you assume its true? In fact I think the starter of this thread is pretty disingenuous to begin with. Not even saying where this supposed "rumor" came from. For all we know, he and his mom maybe said something over their corn flakes and he decided to throw it up here. Anyway, we already know that LD has no desire to play for Leverkusen, I personally feel his sights are on England if he has his way. Lee

If AEG are going to sell and or move this team(and I think they are) next year, I hope these rumours are true. Let Liverpool take Donovan and Mulrooney and gut this team to the point that whoever gets it next starts with a hollow shell. This is the last year for Agoos and probably Ekelund as well so that makes four starters gone for the new owners.
I could see Landon going to Liverpool. That in itself is not a stretch. But this "rumor" loses some credibility when all the other names are thrown out. I mean, do we really see a team like Liverpool swooping in and buying four Americans? Yeah, that will really keep your fans quiet. Freddy Adu? Kid can't go to Europe till the summer of 2007, when he turns 18. I am sure by then that either EVERY team in the world will be interested or very few, depending on how he turns out. Mulrooney? He can't get a work permit, can he? How many of his caps have been in Gold Cup, Confederations Cup or other "official games?" I don't think enough. And, as much as I like the guy, it's hard to believe that a team with Liverpool's resources couldn't get a better holding mid than Mulrooney. Beasley - OK, I could see this one though I don't know what Pool's left mid situation is. Regardless, I think Beas' pace alone makes him capable of playing in the EPL and having one of his good buddies there would certainly make going abroad more appealing to the diva-esque Donovan. The two of them together would certainly be an intriguing development. I'm not saying this rumor is total bullsh!t but let's just say that, like most of you, I'm pretty skeptical.

They do have that Australian bloke named Harry Kewell who ain't too shabby. Like u say, a Landon rumor to Liverpool is one thing, but tossing in every other player mentioned sort of undercuts the veracity of it all.
