Let's wait until this one gets to a nice, round number. Shouldn't take long, really. If we kept Donovan threads at the normal 500-post limit then we'd be refreshing every few days, which is about as awkward as having unwieldy threads.

If we don't hit that mark very soon, and I'm sure we will, then I'll make sure we have a fresh LD thread going for the run-up to the Merseyside derby next weekend.

All I know is Super Sunday was in MUCH MUCH better quality than it ever has been before. Even if we don't ever get it in HD, I'm still happy they've improved it for us.

Which I'm guessing will look like the opposite of this past weekend's Utd - Arsenal match.

I apologize if this has been covered already, but does the closure of the transfer window tonight have any bearing on Everton's ability to extend the loan or buy him ? Can they merely extend the loan until the window opens in June then buy him then ?

I think, no idea if it is true, but we would normally be allowed to extend the loan past the deadline BUT on local radio this weekend, it said we couldn't extend it as it was agreed that we wouldn't as part of the original agreement with LAG...no idea how true that is.

The background noise I've heard (nothing I confirmed) is that the loan will indeed end after 10 weeks, but that Moyes is seriously targeting him for a summer window permanent move after the WC.

I've come across that 3 or 4 times. Can't remember where.

Landon going back for a little field turf action in MLS with 14k people watching and no Becks as a teammate ought to be the last push he needs to find out where it is more fun playing.

Sounds like South Africa --> England ought to be about right.

just a comparrison, Adam Johnson just got sold for 8 million pounds. I hope im not making a homer assumption that Landon Donovan is much better than him.

The "English Player Premium" at work.

Landon Donovan's long-lost English twin brother might well fetch around $20 million-plus.

I'll sulk when I think about United losing and I'll grin when I think about Landon scoring against the best team in the Milky Way Galaxy.

It'll look something like this: :D

There would be a few goals in that match. However, Evra vs. Donovan is a terrible match up for Landon.

Does Evra present a good match up for anyone?

The EPL has been so much fun, getting quite excited to see what Europa will look like. Devastating the portuguese is always fun, no matter who you are. :D

Why do you say that? I don't see LD having more probs with Evra than anyone else.
