Donovan was basically brought in on loan with the understanding that they needed another striker with Podolski pouting his way out of town. Now it's March, and Donovan hasn't even been given a start, and Podolski's ahead of him in the pecking order. If Donovan got a start and tanked, I'd deal with it. But he hasn't. He'd be better off with his real team right now.
I've never liked Van Bommel (he's always struck me as a diving hack), but Diego really sold that foul. Just as he sold the one on Podolski a second ago.
Borowski and Altintop have been used as subs for a while and havn't played a full 90 in a while and they've been invisible. Are they even playing right now? Change better come soon...
Frankly I think he has the MLS thing down at this point, preseason included. Id rather have him practicing with, getting spot minutes for and generally being in that high level environment, even if for only a few more weeks
Agreed. I doubt Bayern plays Donovan in midfield in this system. (Not that he can't, but they've never played him there before). The only way I see him coming on is either through injury, or very, very late if Bayern is hunting a goal and throwing on the kitchen sink in terms of attacking players.
I'd punch this announcer if I could. "And another save by who else...(names the freakin' keeper)" Obviously, the keeper will be making saves. Don't act like it's surprising that he's the one who made the save!
