Even with the cupboard bare they ain't using him. If Ralf thinks he ain't ready for the rigors of the league let him go prove himself elsewhere. It will give everyone a chance to see if he can handle himself. Your argument only has married if they were using him and it was a four-man rotation. If you're saying we don't have enough depth but we're still not using everybody we have available then why keep him.
Not to mention also the obvious that with Pogba's impending return, Donny's playing prospects will diminish even more. Numbers wise we'll be exactly where were with him (when he was hardly used), with the exception that we'll have a (likely) active member of the 5 men midfield rotation in Pogs...
Exactly. We can have Matic and McT at 6, Pogba and Fred at 8 and Bruno at 10 with an option of Mata or even Sancho as the backup 10. Or we can play both Pogba and Fred in midfield as part of a 3 man midfield. I hope Donnie gets Super Nova hot, like Lingard at West Ham hot.
I suppose: mentioned a 5 player midfield rotation (Matic, Mc, Fred, Pogs and Bruno) with the assumption we'll stick primarily to the 3 men midfield for the remainder of the season. No 10 in that system, so Sancho and even Mata are not options in midfield....
well you must think we will keep having this incredible luck with midfield injuries and suspensions indefinitely. 2 injuries or suspensions is all it takes but sure
Ralph will just change formation to 343 and call up the kids. He needs playtime somewhere not break glass in case of emergency.
🚨 Everton want Donny van de Beek on loan, as @FabrizioRomano reports. 24yo #NED int’l among attacking midfield options mentioned in #EFC manager interviews yesterday & has emerged as priority, like last summer. W/ @Paddy_Boyland @TheAthleticUK #MUFC #CPFC https://t.co/RDsD47vUYX— David Ornstein (@David_Ornstein) January 29, 2022 CP and Everton on paper look like 2 good options for Donny. Would still tip towards Palace personally, a) the football played currently under Vieira is good/positive and b) looks like he'd slot in more seamlessly, personnel wise there also. Looks like it's going to happen at least. Which is a shame on one hand but it's what is right for Donny himself. Wherever he ends up, I really hope he tears it up.
Part of me wants him to go to Everton seeing Lampard is there. Mount got plenty minutes while Frank was in charge at Chelsea and I think Donny fits into that sort of mold so there's a big chance he walks right into the 11. Palace has been playing some good football and he'll be a plus there as well. Will he get into the 11 immediately is a question I have asked myself. Palace is the more stable move seeing that they have a playing style and he'll be goin into a dressing room with players that have their heads up unlike what is at Everton.
Donny van de Beek deal will be signed in the next hours. Everton will pay loan fee plus full salary until June, Palace were offering 85% of salary. Looking forward to seeing him play. Not sure Everton with lampard was the best choice but I am just looking forward to seeing him on the field.
Everton's addition today of Dele Alli is a bit of a worrisome wrinkle: just hope that he'll be given a fair shake by Lampard.

Played in a double pivot with Allan and looked great. It almost as if I was saying from the beginning that he can play as a 6. Seems like Lamps understands it as well.
A double pivot yes, but he wasnt the #6 in that pair - that would be Allan as the mobile #6 (something we dont have). But yes, for sure he looked good in a double-pivot alongside a capable and mobile CDM.
You know the score - double-pivot means some #6 work and some #8 work for both. So sure he did some #6 work, but of the pair he was more #8 and Allan more #6.
