The Super Lig isn't exactly a hot bed for talent. The only team that seemed fairly serious going after Haji last year was Hull City... whose owner is from Turkey is in record of wanting to use Hull to help improve Turkish soccer.

So in short... it was always gonna be a middling next transfer for Haji

Horrible to be whistled / booed at especially given the week he and his wife have had. The fans should have sung his praises being a new father. Thank God - at least that we know of - it didn’t boil over to the despicable s**** Vini Jr suffered by some lowlife Valencia fans.

They're not in the releg zone thanks to his goals. He's their #1 scorer by far (15/2 compared to Yildirim 6/1 and Fernando 5/2).

Valencia is a hotbed for Vox, the far-right Spanish party that thinks Franco did nothing wrong. No wonder Musah looks like he wants out ASAP.

Pretty unequivocal backing from the coach there. Above and beyond what was strictly necessary in fact.

/I expect he'll be on his way in the summer but good to see nonetheless

Do we know if the fans knew about Hajis wife having a child?

I can see why fans might boo Haji. He’s always been a low-effort player. When the goals dry-up, people can/will turn on you, especially if you have a disinterested appearance and are subbed out late in a 0-0 draw.

In those countries the fans know everything about the players in their team.

I just learned that apparently Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead. Which is good.

    Played 90, lost 2-0 @ Fenerbahce.

The league started with 19 clubs but is ending with 17, Gaziantep and Hatayspor withdrew after the earthquake in February.

Everybody who had yet to play those two were awarded 3-0 wins, which seems unfair to the ones who had to play them and worse to the ones who lost to them. Ankara has lost both games to Gaziantep.

So they're 14 out of 17 now --there will be only two relegated clubs instead of four, because of the quake. Gaziantep and Hatayspor, even though withdrawn and receiving 0-3 losses for the last 12 games, won't be relegated-- and at a very slight risk of relegation with two games left.

They just need a point to be 100% safe.

Haji in La Liga? At a team that plays like Villareal?

Wow, if that happens and he can hold his own I would be shocked.

    Would be an incredible story.
The type fans try and create as possible for really limited players that only happen 1% of the time.

BTW, half watching them now get their a**es kicked. Down 4-1 to someone and it could be much worse. Sound off and when I glance up I don‘t think I have seen him. Then again his team never has the ball and are pinned into their own half so what chance could he have?

Nevermind. Just realized it is Anlayspor. Not the Haji‘s team. Close spelling there.

Gossip was linking him to Bordeaux at one point, but that deal is almost certainly dead.

On the final day of the season, Bordeaux ultras invaded the pitch after 20 minutes and attacked the opposition GK so the match was abandoned, which leaves Bordeaux in 3rd, 3 points behind 2nd place with an inferior goal difference and a goals scored total.

The normal course of action is for the league to award the other side a 3-0 walkover or a replay, but the league's problem is that the other side is in the final relegation slot, just 2 points from safety. Award them a win (which they should) and the other side will be relegated instead, which they'll take to the courts immediately.

My guess is that they'll punish Bordeaux with a 3-0 loss and persuade the two relegation sides to accept a relegation playoff to decide who goes down.
