    I'd go for Italy if I were him but who can turn down the allure of the wages from the Premier League not to mention all the glitz and glamour.

    I’m not trying to throw shade, but I also don’t think it’s that great an insult to say Haji Wright is not an EPL level striker.

    it's a team sport....Haji can score in the EPL, if given opportunities, imo

    his combination of size and skill is pretty rare

    I’m confident Haji will put the ball on frame if somebody creates the opportunity for him, I just don’t see Crystal Palace being able to get him the ball in scoring positions. And I don’t think he can create enough on his own to make himself the first choice striker.

    I hope I’m wrong, but I see a lot of time on the bench waiting for cup ties.

    For that quoted amount it's a low risk high reward move for them.

    Anyway, it's a decent move for Wright. Crystal Palace does not urgently need him to score immediately and look to be relatively safe at the moment. He would be able to grow into the level.

    Indeed, the price cited in that tweet (7-8M Euros) is not much for them. Hell, they just paid 12M Euros for Chris Richards. They've been in the EPL for 10 straight seasons now. That 7-8M fee would be between the 21st and 22nd highest transfer fee they've ever paid--all of which are in the last 8 years.

    Obviously, rumors fly back and forth, but the original source has a legacy blue checkmark.

    How can one tell a "legacy blue checkmark" from the $8 one that Elon just instated?

    Click on the blue checkmark and you'll get this message:

    Rumor that he was approached about going to Russia, but turned it down:

    RPL News
    @RPLNews_eng

    Rumors appeared that Lokomotiv allegedly offer €6m for US national team striker Haji Wright from Antalyaspor. But as Ivan Karpov says, first of the all there will be no Americans in Russia atm + Loko can't pay €6m & could only manage a loan with option to buy in theory.

    Yağız Sabuncuoğlu
    @yagosabuncuoglu

    Lokomotiv Moscow has made an official offer of €8+2 million to the player's club for Antalyaspor midfielder Haji Wright. Haji Wright did not want to go to Russia, and the transfer was suspended.

    Smart move.

    It was unlikely his Club wouldn't try to cash in on a good season and bit of WC notoriety. I hope he does go to CP. They are not a disaster club, but also not a club with insane expectations. He might get a minute to adapt and it will be interesting to see how he does. My instinct is he'd be over his head, but I'd also love to be wrong.

    I wasn't impressed at the world cup but he could be decent depth for a team with a more direct style. He is pretty woeful with his back to the goal.

    I saw a lot of good linking with his back to goal. Now, inside the box with his back to goal, I didn't see enough either way to have an opinion.
