he is an idiot....he has no idea what he is talking about....that really doesn't even make sense....soccer and basketball are 2 totally different sports....that is the dumbest statement i've ever heard....it's just that people are embarassed to see the US soccer team do better than the US basketball....Americans can't handle that yet

Am I crazy or did both teams lose in the quarterfinals?

Anytime Rome says the US is good in soccer we should be happy with that, not pissed off.

Why we care or shouldn't care, of course, is another thread. And there will be another thread. Or maybe it's this thread - either way there will be another thread.

To the lurking Jim Rome interns who are forced to read BigSoccer to update Romie ...

Tell Jimbo to keep it up. These threads still crack me up.

    Thanks.

    Yep.
    Are you kidding me?
    Nope.
My entire world is upside down.
Your world has always been upside down. Glad you notice it Romey.
My belief system has been shattered. Up is down, black is white, right is left. I don't even know who I am anymore.
Nether do we Romey, and frankly we don't want to know you either.
I'd like to congratulate every member of team USA. Take a bow, fellas, you earned it.
No. Thank you for continue this thread in honor of your Royal Pain in the A@#.
Because of you, the youth of America are going to think we are a soccer-playing nation, dabbling in basketball.
    Amen to that.
Never mind Team USA gear, I'll see kids wearing Clint Donovan's jersey, or whatever one of their names are.
Since when Cletus and Landon had a boy? Is he eligible for the US Under-21?

    Excellent screen name.

I don't really care what Jim Rome thinks one way or the other. But I dig the name.

Can't you get Phillies' games on radio? If not, you're really missing a treat. (You may now commence laughing.)
