Does Playing In Russia Or Ukraine Have A Negative Impact On Your Next Domestic Fixture?

    With Spurs playing in Moscow in midweek and United having to travelling to Ukraine soon, I wanted to do some research to see whether performances were actually affected after teams played over there. I stumbled across this article below which suggests that it does not have an impact.

    Of course, the article does not take into account who the teams are playing against after such away trips - for example Spurs v Man City this wknd, but it does give interesting insight that suggests the effects of these trips are exaggerated.

    Nice - this pretty much confirmed what I always thought, which is that the media (and sometimes the clubs themselves) exaggerate the negative effects of these trips. If Spurs lose to City this weekend, it won't be down to their travel I'm sure.
