I've had absolutely zero luck playing videos of the WWC on fifa.com. I press the play button and it flashes "Connecting" quickly but nothing happens.

Strange because I watched WC'06 videos fine.

I tried 2 computers in my home. I tried IE and Firefox. I tried disabling Norton. Nothing helps.

I'm wondering if there are some minimum requirements for Windows Media Player or something, that they're not telling me.

    Anyone have ideas?

Anyone having any luck playing these videos?

They probably don't work in America.

There's a list of nations that it's available in.

Where do you see that list?

The weird thing is that I can still play Fifa.com's old WC'06 videos just fine, as I did when that was happening live in Germany.

Why would they allow this to work for WC'06 but not for WWC'07? Seems illogical.

Oh it's videos, not live games.

    Nevermind.

Yes I should've made that clearer I guess. Video highlights is what I'm trying to play.

Thanks anyway. And shouldn't you be in bed by now? Isn't it 04:45 in Sweden? ;)

If you're having difficulty watching the games on FIFA.com, I think its because they have certain regions blocked from watching the coverage.

The US is blocked because of the deal with ESPN to air the games.

All is not lost, if you can't watch the games on tv or work looks down on/blocks ESPN at work...

Go to ESPN360.com. They've got all the games carried live and in replay on there. I've been able to watch all the games I missed on there.

You do need to have broadband capabilities and be sure to use IE. When I tried using Firefox, I kept getting errors.

I am able to run ESPN360 on Firefox, so that shouldn't be an issue.

You do need a high-speed provider who has made a deal with ESPN. I have Verizon and can watch ESPN360 now. I had Comcast until a couple months ago and could not watch ESPN360.

Thanks for the ESPN360 tip... I should've thought of that... I'll check it out.

But I don't understand why I can't watch WWC'07 highlights on Fifa.com. That was possible during WC'06 and there was a similar situation with ESPN carrying those games live.
