Hey all, New to the whole DirectKick package, and my roommate sorta screwed up the VCR settings tonight, so my question is, does DirectKick show, for example, MSG's rebroadcast of the Fire/Metrostars match on Monday night? Thanks in advance although I suspect the answer isn't what I'm hoping for. Later, COZ
DirectKick does not show replays, however, if a replay is listed on one of the Fox Sports Net channels (such as Comcast (DC United) or MSG (Metrostars)) then you will be able to view the match, or set your VCR accordingly.. You just have to do a little homework to see when and where a game is being repeated.. Going on past time tables, MSG usually replays all Metros games at midnight and at 3 am as well.. Comcast will usually replay a United game (provided they are the one televising it of course) sometime during the next day in the afternoon if Orioles baseball does not present a conflict..
I'm not sure if I follow you, but that may be the hangover talking. Are you saying that DirectKick itself as an entity doesn't replay the games, but if the channel that originally broadcast it (Comcast, MSG) does, DirectKick will pick it up, or are you saying I have to have the out-of-market sports channel in order to watch the game? If the latter, I can't watch Monday's reairing at home, but I know a couple of bars who can get MSG. And some Chinese restaurants. Thanks, I'll be here all week, try the veal. Later, COZ
If you have the out-of-market sports package, you will indeed be able to watch the games on tape delay.. If not, SOL.. DirectKick only plays live matches unless they state they are showing a match on tape-delay (this does happen occasionally because a local FSN is already showing another live event).. Once it is shown on DK, it is shown no more, but again, if you subscribe to the sports package on DTV, Dish or your local digital cable provider, if a replay is listed, you should be able to view it..
I thought Yahoo Platinum didn't exist anymore, and that you had to be an SBC Hi-Speed Internet customer to get the programming, which didn't include MLS anymore anyway? Or did I give up on that thread too early? Anyway, there's at least one bar in a three-block radius that gets MSG, so I can just go there and watch the replay tonight if need be. Later, COZ
