Wow, even this guy's a bit down on us, and he's usually pretty positive when he writes about United...

    I believe!!!

I think we're much better than last year!!! I think we're gonna play well and beat the Kansas City Gizzards by a scoreline of 2-1. I refuse to be down about the team. In Convey, Kovalenko, Stewart and St. Nick, we've got the core of a talented group. Soon, our injured players will be back on the field. Plus, we'll see how our younger players evolve over the season. I see a bright future!!! Yes, I know I am full of blind optimism but these naysayers need someone to counterbalance them!!!

    Unite!!!

I believe too! It's just that I believe we're gonna stink.

To be frank, I don't even think Ray Hudson believes in us.

I'm sorry. If DC were a stock I would short you. I have no DC players on my MLS fantasy side. If you have Hudson as a manager, dump him quick for Gansler.

I believe that there are a lot of talented players on the team.

Whether all that talent can be made to work together remains to be seen.

But it is certainly nice to have all that talent and if they click...

When you've got Chino Alegria in your starting 11 and you are playing with only 1 forward after scoring the fewest amount of goals last year, I'd say there's some good reason for skepticism.

I believe I'll stock a huge amount of beer. Then I'll watch the game from my bean bag chair, so when I fall over drunk, it won't hurt so much.

.......Marco Etcheverry will rally the team and have his best year! As far as the rest of the team, I have my doubts!

I think we'll do well this season, but it'll take a while to build chemistry. Frankly, given the injury devestation in back and the lack of a true front-runner up top, I like the formation we're putting out there. Santino as a lone target forward isn't going to score through the air, but he can receive the ball with his back to goal well, and he can turn quickly as well as distribute to the aggressive midfielders releasing like Stewart and Convey.

Having Etch near the fullback line kills our chances to get any goals counter-attacking, but having him as a forward is OK. There he will not need to defend, and he can use his passing skills to hit Stewart, Convey and Olsen as they advance unmarked. It allows Stewart to add to the defense as well as roam the width of the field causing marking nightmares for KC.

Bunkering takes away Wolff's speed advantage for counter attacks. Playing a 451 limits the space our slower players like Alegria have to defend, so he might do a decent job there. Surrounding Convey with quicker passing and more fleet footed players Stewart and Namoff should help.

I still think we should have Stokes in the game. He's a better defender than Alegria, and he's an offensive threat on corners. I expect to see Eskandarian replace Santino around the 70th minute. The key is not to give up a first half goal. If we hold them without a goal in the first half, we have a good chance of pulling out a point or three.

    I believe.

    Thank You W.C.

    :)

Also, I believe everyone is bit gunshy after the last few seasons.

We're going to be much improved this season.
