Kickball I am not sure exactly which forum this should go in. But, I always seem to find more cracks in this forum about dodgeball. So, I will start it here and see where it turns up. Ahh...those evil kickballers...... Ahh..yes....WAKA...many experiences with them. You will have to forgive me, as I play on one of the many softball leagues that compete for space with the kickballers on the mall/ellipse, and they are by and large nice people. However, my one gripe with them is their total disregard for the unwritten rule of not flaunting their booze consumption on the mall/ellipse. The kickballers started up, started openly drinking on the mall/ellipse (rather than taking the accepted semi-covert approach), drawing the ire of tourists. Complaints ensued, and the park police came out and started busting people for public drinking, thereby delaying our drunken softball antics until post-game festivities. I fully blame the resultant lack of easy drinking on the playing field for my teams dramatic demise from a 12-3 record last year to a 3-12 record this year. But I will say that the kickball team with the bagpipe player (in full kilt) was a riot, as was the guy who played nearly a whole game in a full monkey suit.
One time in 4th grade I got to be one of the captain's of my class kickball team. I thought our team was money. We lost. I was sad.
