I played soccer since I was 8, and for some reason my legs are just huge. Calf muscle and all. I have a lot of people as me what I do for my work out, and I just say I run and lift with my legs one day a week. I belong to a fitness forum, and a lot of people still dont see my legs are built as they are.
It has a LOT do do with genes. Some people are "born soccer players" with huge thigh and calf muscles. My legs are also a lot bigger compared to my upper body.
Yeah, they say that I have tree trunks for legs, u probably get the picture, honest though, almost all muscle
yea......I have built legs, but I have never even lifted weights until this summer and my calfs and thighs have always been bigger than my friends.......
I've always had fairly muscular legs and just started playing soccer partially because i thought i might be suited for it. i have found that i need to stretch quite a bit before repetitively kicking the ball long distances.
aww man! I feel left out! I've played football (soccer) constantly since I was 4, and my leg muscles are as small as anything!! And apart from a 1 and a half year break, I've played near enough every day since then. o -|- /\ <-- That's how skinny i am.
my sister has played the game about 4 times in her life, and she has bigger calf muscles than knees.. I think everyone has bigger calves than knees:/ I maybe wrong though
Not my case, my legs are built huge. I take progress pics, and in the 6 months I been lifting my legs have just grown huge and powerful.
Hmm... I have bigger calf muscles than almost anyone I've ever seen - but they're barely bigger than my knees. Maybe I just have huge knees...

I don't have legs. I just roll around the field like a ball. I'm awfully good at low headers, though.
I've played football/soccer almost every day that I've been alive, but everybody says I have really skinny legs. Haha.
Lots of professional players have little legs - lol. David Beckhams legs are SO skinny in the flesh its funny. I think its only players like Roberto Carlos that have tree trunk legs!!! appleCORR
I have massive legs, calves and thighs. But part of it is genes too, my dad has legs that are bigger than R.Carlos. He was a kicker and punter for his high school and college football(american) teams, so I guess I got a lot of that from him. I often have trouble buying dress pants in my proper waist size because my thighs are so big it causes them to be very tight.
yea, i'm game, i gots skinny a$$ legs but i'm pretty athletic... i've always played soccer, basketball and baseball since i was a kid but quit out in high school after discovering alcohol and girls... but my leg in the middle is pretty meaty...
I myself being 14 playin football since i was 3 have very muscular legs compared to a lot of highschoolers. but i wouldn't say there huge cause my calf muscles are very toned but my leg isn't. like My leg is normal but my Calf muscle shows like an outward bend I I<rest of leg ( )<Calf I I <Ankle Well i hope you get what i mean that picture looks deformed.
I think it's not so important. Mean don't make it your main training goal, you wanna be soccer players not WWE wrestlers. At least you should have some sort of well-planned strength program that would fit to your soccer skills program. Too many muscles make every athlete awkward and bulky.
