    I voted no
I believe in the team (like most true fans) BUT I don't think they want it bad enough. I hope I am wrong and they kick some LA butt.

I believe!.. Of course I was the one who thought Colorado was going to fall apart and then when that didn't happen picked LA to falter, so what do I know.

No. They had a must-win game last week, and they came up small. Why should I expect any better from them this week and next week?

San Jose is playing KC without Landon, Pat Onstad, DeRosario still possibly Ching. San Jose is missing a major part of their D and their offense. KC is only missing Wolff and Zavagnin. This is going to be the most boring game yet in MLS. A lot of scrappy play and Dayak gets a Red KC gets another 1-0 win with Diego scoring. (Possible 1-1)

That leaves us against LA. I think this will be another 1-1 tie. We finally come from behind to tie.

Now down to the last game LD, Pat, DeRosario will be exhausted playing 3 games in 8 days. EJ won't probably play and Gibbs will only play one game. It is at home and we pull off the victory in the last game at the Cotton Bowl

I voted yes just for the power of positive thinking.

But my Busch Light beer belly tells me they are done. Maybe next year we will be able to use the you suck allication.

    I voted no.

In truest traditions of FC-inconsistent. They'll beat LA this weekend, get all our hopes up, and absolutley choke against San Jose.

    YES I BELIEVE

But then, I am an idiot.

I believe that some how, in some way, the Burn will do what they have failed to do all season. They will rise to the occassion, they will win two games in a row.

Toni Nhelcko will put shots on goal like a south African Thierry Henry.
Ronnie O'Brien will bend the ball like Beckham and Jason Kreis will finish it like its 1999.
Oscar Pareja will finish the season in a blaze of glory and Simo will stamp opposing players into the ground so often that grass will become embedded in their DNA.
Milton Reyes will re-define the position of left back in this country.
Steve Jolley will make lead the Steel Curtain and Jeff Cassar will bring back memories of the Berlin Wall.

And Eric Quill will control the ball and maybe connect a pass or two.

    And no - I haven't been drinking.

    Who's with me?

    There is no question!

I mean, even with no EJ or Gibbs, a faulty attack, slow mid field hit or miss defense, there is no question.............................................................

Crap I talked myself out of it.

I'll still be rooting my ass off though.

Hey like Buzz said in his report. We can still finish 2nd if the following,

    This week:

    Dallas beats LA
    KC beats SJ

Even though Dallas is depleted so is LA and Ruiz doesn't sound fully healthy.
KC can beat anybody once they score first.

    Next Week:

    KC beats LA
    Columbus beats Colorado
    Dallas beats SJ

LA is at KC. Quite possible for KC to finish strong with another 1-0.
Columbus is on a roll and can't be beat.
If Dallas will fight tooth and nail for that playoff spot at the Cotton Bowl. Like we did with 9 men.

Unfortunately, To me the most unlikely to happen of the list is Dallas winning at LA.

I voted no. Before the New England game I probably would have voted yes. After that though, I just don't see it happening. I think KC will beat San Jose this weekend, but I don't see us getting anything from LA. I mean if we can't at least get a point from New England, in a must win or at least get a point game, then I am not very optimistic about going into LA without Cory and EJ.

So that leaves us with a must win last game vs. San Jose at home. I will cheer my a$$ off, but I just don't see it happening.

After saying all of that, I sure as hell hope that I am wrong.

I wish I could say "yes" but I my heart told me to vote no. Without EJ up top and with Toni coming off the flu things do not look good. A Kreis/Rhine partnership is never going to scare anybody which means Ronnie O' can be double teamed. I just hope the Burn prove me wrong.

    I voted yes.

KC is a machine and will handle SJ.
Not becasue I want them too but because KC is the best raod team in MLS and SJ is depleated.

Did I mention KC is a machine.

Then the LA game does not matter and it's all about the last game.

And the Burn are at home.

we must win this week and have sj tie or lose
if we are tied with sj going to the last game we will have to play for the win and SJ will roast us with counter attacks

And the Burn are the second worse home team in the league.

Sorry for the pessimism, but the Burn being at home doesn't automatically make me think, "We're going to win!".

But like I said earlier, I hope that I am wrong, and I am going yell and cheer at my computer for the(potentially) last 180 minutes of Dallas Burn soccer and hope and pray that it can be extended at least another 180 minutes.

I voted "no" because we haven't won twice in a row since early June nor have we squeezed 4 points out of consecutive games since early July. While I desperately hope I'm wrong, it's difficult for me to see how our form will change with Gibbs and Johnson out.

There are too many people thinking with their heads instead of their hearts....certainly the Burn will make the playoffs...what is it the Texas Rangers say, "One riot one ranger" you gotta believe the improbable is possible if you are a true Texan. Any true Texan Burn fans out there?
