Look, I know they just released the "schedule" and I know they just "updated" the website, but where's the proof that we actually have a team? Until I see some Pottery Barn sheets with the Earthquakes name on it, I wont be convinced! http://www.pbteen.com/stylehouse/sportshq_mls/content.cfm?cm_src=hplink&cm_type=herofa On an "un"related note, my dad told me this last weekend that my sense of humor was as dry as toast. I'm 21. I don't know whether to take it for what it's worth or to be insulted that he's still making observations about my personality.
Yes, we have a team. On the PB issue, maybe the deal for them using the "MLS Brand" was struck before the Quakes coming back became a reality. On your unrelated note...let it slide. You're young, and your Dad is around to make those observations, so you're lucky. When he is no longer around, you will wish he was there to make the occassional wry observation about you. Trust me on this.
Merchandise is coming the first week of March according to my ticket rep, if of course stuff like that is what you measure "having a team" by.
freaking pottery barn. I was busting my girlfriend's chops yesterday(she works for corporate). I asked, are there any men working there? Because I know MLS is not being sold because it's looked at as Major League by a bunch of women around a boardroom. She said very sheepishly, there are men who...work. I'm like I know it's just a bunch of women oogling David Beckham. The lack of attention to detail regarding the Quakes is just one sign. Sadly, despite my ball-busting, it's exposure and that's good. stupid Beckham with his perfect hair and superhuman aura. and thanks for the advice.
Good one...my antonym blocker was on at the time, so it didn't consider the other alternatives for the word.
