I can see a few reasons for the interest in Gordon, fairly young (24), 6', decent header, can cross very well and he's largely been effective for the Toon. EPL ready. Has a great shot from the outskirts of the box, works hard off the ball. Obviously there are more talented wingers out there. Depending on the price I wouldn't be too outraged by it. Noni anyone? I wonder if its Berta's or Arteta's idea?
If I'm not mistaken the Gordon links were pre-Berta. The fact that he is young & HG is a plus. If you get him cheap he could be worth a flier to see if you can do something with him but I think I would rather go for another option.
Gordon is not the solution on the left wing. Trossard is our current joint top scorer in the league and Martinelli is our top scorer in the Champions League, I’m not sure Gordon is an upgrade on either.
I don't see PSG letting him go without an insane pile cash. That being said, he'd do great with Arsenal.
Re Anthony Gordon, I’m with Arseblog: can’t really stand looking at his face. Nor his hair for that matter. OK not exactly the nicest or most intellectually based reaction, but honest.
I would 100% go with several other options. If we were to get him I think he would be useful. I don't see him as an upgrade. I think we need a fairly big upgrade on the left to somewhat balance out Saka and stretch the defense. Saka gets routinely doubled. I don't see Gordon being doubled. Someone good emough that they would needcto be doubled like Saka wpuld be a godsend. My post was mostly if him coming is inevitable and thats the decision.
LOL. No of course not! P.s. that lower left photo, which looked a little like Di was in DC, made me lament that she’s no longer with us, and specifically to take brave, principled, moral, public and outspoken positions against autocratic, immoral, inhumane regimes. We could sure use more like her RN. Apologies for going a bit “political” here, but it’s hard not to these days.
She was cute-attractive, plus, seemed like a decent human. Nevertheless, Charles still out-kicked his coverage (as we say in SEC land) with that arranged marriage.
I Never saw it. English 8, but a 6.5 in the states during that era, imo But she was decent in regards to the people who were part of that family.
2012160916456878359 is not a valid tweet id damn i know i'm the only one that wanted him but this sucks
I’m not seeing any reports on the wages, but I’m reasonably certain they are massively overpaying in salary for Guehi (like they did for Haaland) since Guehi would stand to make far more personally if he waited to move until summer as a free agent. IOW - Guehi woulnd’t sing a 5.5 year contract now unless he was sure he’d get paid now.
I would allow all my post to be run through 'You know who' if were able to get Barcola. He'd be transformative.
No doubt She was a looker in the English royal family Low bar most of the English monarchy, aesthetically , resemble experiments from Dr Moreau
I think we have a squad good enough to win the title without buying. I would love a top left winger much better than Martinelli or Trossard. However, would that unsettle things? Surely both of them would be very upset by it. I know...I know...it shouldn't matter and there should be competition for starting places. Also, being in 4 competitions, there is plenty of opportunity for everyone. But team chemistry is also important. The Guehi and Semanyo buys worry me a lot. Pep wants the squad that can on a 7, 8, 9 game winning run in the league while still staying in and being competitive in the CL. Just a wild guess but I am thinking if he can't hold us off in the league then he can at least have a go at a CL win. That would make up for losing the league 2 seasons in a row. That hasn't happened them since the '15 to '17 seasons. Everyone healthy we should be able win the league and right now, the only thing that would satisfy me not winning the league is a CL win. Not the league or FA cups.
I would be ok if a quality LB were to be had. MLS has dropped off, Hincapie and Calafiori injury prone.
Damn even for someone who’s family grew up during British colonialism and cheers when England lose, that’s cold.
