    I completely understand your premise.

And if our Forefathers had thought this way. We truly would be playing Football in America. My, what a paradox. No Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness but FC Boston Port City would be hosting New York Empire United at Boston Common Stadium in front of 126,000 undying supporters this week-end...if only what-if? :D

Not for nothing... I'm guessing this isn't your main recruiting pitch for everyone to join the Riders, right?

You are under the assumption that 'what is' is clear. I am of the belief that we don't understand the verb to be, therefore, we have every right to question theories on reality. Reality, in fact, may not even exist.

Being independent of the team, it's a lot easier just to say "Come have a good time supporting the Revs with like minded-friends. And if nothing else, drown your sorrows in the lot with us." ;)

so what exactly to do the revs care about? according to you, they clearly don't care about winning, the team or the fans. That would also mean that they don't care about money because each of those things bring more money to them. They clearly don't care what the league thinks because kraft was a league founder and they aren't gonna kick him out no matter what he does. So what does he care about? do you think he really likes to piss away money on this team? is he really just trying to get the team as bad as possible to sell it off at even more of a loss?
the board in not negative cause the "FO doesn't care". it's negative cause the team lost and did not play well all year. simple as that. i just think that it's crazy to say that kraft or the FO doesn't care because he/they do/does

How is "Shut up Garrett" not winning? My faith in the world just took a nose dive.

This thread gives me the opportunity to post a clip from one of my favorite films anyway...

Are you insane? They have been a solid playoff team for a good five years or more. They played very well considering their lack of depth and frugal ownership.

It is negative because Mr. Kraft is p____ that FoxSoccer Channel, ESPN, and "sudden" World Cup interest has f____ up his plan to run a popular minor league soccer team where 15K fans are greatful he provides the only opportunity to view soccer in NE. Now he is holding for a better economy to sell the team for 10x his initial buy-in fee. He is simply riding the LA-Seattle-Toronto-NY/NJ efforts waiting to cash in and get the f___ out. He never wanted two pro teams. He wanted a tax write-off and a shot at an important international soccer game once a year or so.

What an amazing example of creative thinking (ie, a presentation made up from pure, unprovable speculation :). The anti-Kraft "memes" on this Board have really reached the point where their level of credibility makes stories in the National Enquirer appear to be Pulitzer Prize candidates. :(

I do think Kraft saw this as a business opportunity. Get in early, buy low and as the league grew the value of his asset would grow. I don't think for a second he's passionate about soccer or even cares or ever really did. This was a business opportunity. I think he thought he just couldn't lose and underestimated how long it would take for the league to grow and to make a return on the investment. I think he is probably limiting his losses and is not willing to put more $ in because he doesn't see the return. Plain and simple. I think his plan went out the window and he's making it up as he goes along or minimally that it's not the way he expected it to go and he's scrambling to not lose his shirt an d at least stay a float till the day comes when it does make money.
