67' Beasley gets kicked in the face while fighting for a ball, he wins a FK in a couple of yards outside the box.

    Rangers doesn't hit the target.

Beasley wins a deserved PK! Someone lofted a pass for Beaz to run onto, he got kicked in the abdomen. Kenny Miller thumps the PK home! Rangers 3-1 in the 74'

Beasley looking really energetic since coming on, he has a good run down the left flank and wins a corner this time.

Beasley has a nice run from the left he cuts inside his defender, takes a shot from the penalty spot saved by the GK, who has pulled off some magnificent saves.

I didn't see the game but Rangers supporters seem very happy with DMB's play today, some are clamoring for him to start their next game.

He was good and very lively, but it was Falkirk and right now Falkirk's at the bottom of the SPL standings.

    Rangers win 3-1

DMB to BB: "Reports of my demise may have been exaggerated."

I'm not saying he should be in the 23 based on 20 minutes vs. Falkirk. But 6 months is a long time, and an experienced hand on bench (for the wing) might now be such a bad thing.

If he starts to play regularly, you've got to think Beasley > Rogers.

If we see him being the first option off the bench and playing solidly for the next 3-4 months I have to agree with the above poster about him being a better option that Rogers. There was a period of time not so long ago that I thought he was the best player on the USNT squad. Here's hoping he can regain that form, it can only help given our injury issues.

2010 DMB could = 2002 Cobi Jones in terms of a late third sub to protect a lead...

Good to see him playing again.

The way we played at the Confed Cup was a 4-2-2-2, with the strikers often drifting out wide and Dempsey and Donovan cutting in. Y'all see where I'm going with this?

Perhaps Beasley can play as a pseudo striker, paired with Altidore, and playing for the counter.

fingers crossed, but we've had some great news this week with injury info, the draw and now this. It seems like it's all gonna come together over the next few months. Well, hopefully it will.

Yeah. Face for the FK a couple of yards outside the box and Abdomen for the PK.

He also had a couple of good runs on the Left Flank, one he won a corner and one where he forced the keeper to make a decent save.

that's what i said as soon as davies went down. put beez on the last defender for the first 65min to run him crazy. If we need speed at that position and defending, it would seem to make a lot of sense. However, you cant play longball and expect him to win through the air. Send balls into space, on the ground.

BBC seems to agree. Their write-up listed DMB as the "World Cup bound winger".

An in-form Beasley helps the USMNT Charlie Davies problem by replacing Donovan on the left and allowing Donovan to play second striker. Actually, if Davies isn't back (and I doubt he will be) Donovan really is the best option at forward with Jozy. It'll take Bradley several dour friendlies to realize it, but eventually he will.

Dempsey up top is the other option, but Dempsey seems to do better as a makeshift target man than a makeshift quick striker, but paired with Altidore he'd be in the quick striker role.

If we do use Donovan as a forward, we should probably play something more resembling 4-5-1 with Donovan in the hole as withdrawn striker. And that will suck.

Why do you say that about Dempsey? He has looked pretty good playing up top in a two, I think.

And are you anywhere near center barnstead?

Demerit, Edu, and Jones all ready to return to action this month.

Also Freddy Adu was held out of another game at Belenenses, assuring that he will be uninjured come June ;).
