The 2004 Menace schedule is up on: http://www.menacesoccer.com/schedule/?style=list Season opens at home on Friday, May 14 against Colorado Springs, and the next game is May 15 against Boulder Rapids Reserve.
Booyah. I can't wait. All matches are on Friday/Saturday home matches is excellent. Back to back nights, provided the team is playing well will help attendance tho it's not good for the players but hey, that's the PDL. Final four games on the road isn't nice though. Also didja catch that one Tuesday home match... Wizards again. Let's hope the weather is better and the Wizards brings a few more A players.
At least the weekend away doubleheaders make a little more sense where they play the same team or in the same area both nights. It should be more of an even field if both teams are playing their 2nd game of the weekend against each other. Although the 2nd games could be a lot more interesting if there's some shenanigans in the 1st night with no time to simmer down. Just glad to have a coach and a schedule!
On the Open Cup front... This year we are away against Chicago and Wisconsin while Boulder and Colorado Springs replace last years away matches against St Louis and Kansas City. I'd rather play Boulder and Colorado at home. And we can take Wisconsin on the road since they usually suck. I like this better.
Wizards? I see that on the website, but have they released it or anytyhing? You'd think there would be a big announcement about it and I thought it woudl be mentioned in the season ticket info- they did a good job of hyping it last year. . .
Re: Wizards? I haven't seen anything about it yet. Maybe it's not a done deal and shouldn't be on the list yet, who knows. Based on last year, I'm sure the club will make a deal of it when it's for certain.
