Trembly!?!? Good lord, we can't get rid of him. We won't lose any others.

I guess that tells you what they think of Powell and the others.

MLSNet has Digi as a Metro, which would be fine with me.

What a waste. We could have gotten something for him.

No one would have taken Trembly anyway, can't believe he was protected. I was convinced he had pictures of Hanks, now I'm convinced he's got "the goods" on someone higher up.

He had better be waived in the off-season.

Jeff Stewart goes to Chivas. Surprise to me.

Stwart? To Chivas? Huh? I mean he hasn't played all year, got injured like 18 months ago and hasn't recovered. And he isn't exactly latin? Whoa. Go figure that pick.

Powell appears to still be here. Maybe he can link up with Gilles Grimandi in the midfield next season.

    Does Stewart speak Spanish?

The more I think about the DLT situation the more I feel like the MLS "family" and its Don Dan Garber called for the rapids front office to meet them in the back of the smoky pool hall (ala the godfather).

A sort of, "you will offer DLT to Chivas for the good of the family" type scenario.

Why else on god's green earth would you leave him unprotected?

In return, Chivas will take Stewart with their last pick?

It's really not that big of a deal. He was pushed out of the starting lineup towards the end of the season anyway. Sure he was hispanic, but I didn't see the locals off of Federal Blvd. waiting in any lines to see him play.

I've got to agree on this one.

Would somebody please explain to me about Seth. Why do we want him at all, much less protect him. Is he a good guy to have at practice? He is too short, not skilled enough, and makes referees and other players mad. I have never seen one thing that would make me want to protect him. Is he dating Kroenke's twin sister Wilma. Come on!! I am open minded. Can someone provide rationale about why the team wants to keep him.

    Sounds very plausible.

Have you ever met his little sister, or mother... I think they heard of the trade and went to the offices to protest. They might have brought grand-ma from Pueblo, and voiced their opinion about how he is the "pride" of the state. Then his sister tried to seduce 'Cello, or someone, but when asked to talk dirty she mentioned the acididty of the soil...

Maybe Trembly was in the main office with Kronke and stole his rug off his head and wouldn't give it back until he was protected? He is a little f---er and could easily fit under a desk... and you know how Kronke wants to protect his image - noone must know he is realy bald  did I let a cat out of the bag? I'm sorry if I brought anyones world crashing down...

One real odd thing about all this is that DLT was left unprotected, and Beckerman was. We get nothing for DLT, and since Beckerman is out of contract we may get nothing out of him.

It's not like we ever got much out of him when he was under contract...

It really does make me wonder if Hanki and Counce had the Guv totally bamboozled on the player front. We're still giving it all away.

If Tritt had anything to do with the list I would think he'd be able to straighten the Guv out. Who knows what they were thinking with DLT. It was clear he'd be taken. I think it is one of those single entity deals where MLS HQ told the Rapids to leave the one Mexican in the league available to Chivas.

They would have had to pay Chivas or (Real stupid name) SLC a lot of money under the table to *take* Beckerman or Trembly whereas they took DLT for free. Now, who do we get for a Senior International to fill John Spencer's boots?

I'd take one of the following:
    Defoe
    Henry
    Okacha
    Hasselbaink
    Robben
    Ruud
    Malbranque
    Shawn Wright-Philips
    ;)

I was looking to the Premiership but shooting a little lower than Ruud someone more in middle of salary range (still very expensive for MLS?) and with marketing potential/appeal (it is a business) and fan attraction ... Savage? Sort of an everyday Beckham? And a replacement for the intense Scot with an intense Welshman?

Whoa, better line up some serious stateside product endorsements, a standing offer of 2,500,000 pounds is out there and there is that pesky salary cap to stay under. On the plus side he would sell tickets and fire up the midfield if only ...
