I think were after Fatih Tekke now possibly 3.5m or a 6 month loan deal and then roughly that amount in the summer.

Maybe not then? Still, Bristol City are just selling players hand over fist. Golbourne, Gillespie, Partridge, Smith, Fortune out on long term loans, VBridges releasded. And, all we have is a 19 year old striker on loan from Luton, who scored 1 in 9 for Grimsby this year. We are screwed!

No strikers then! Ferguson is suspended, and apparently Beattie, McFadden and Vaughan are injured!

And what is so cool about Norwich? Earnshaw for 3.5 mil (weren't we interested in him?), plus two other loan signings (one of them another striker I believe). Norwich are at the same place in the table as we are, but in a lower league! We can't seem to get a sniff of any players.

Nothing's col about Norwich they just matched what W.B.A wanted for their player, they didnt wanna make a loss so they held on.

There's no point in dishing out money for players that won't make an impact to the squad.

Can we unsticky this thread please?

It would be nice to have a new thread when transfer rumors start up again.

Another underwhelming stroll through the transfer window.

Apparently "making do" is good enough for those in charge....

I like to sit back and think about that time we got Mr. Per Koldrup... ok, I'm not sure how to spell his name, but I still remember that time and it was AWESOME!

on another note, I'd love to see Andy Van der Meyde play again...

Is he not playing with anyone anymore? Is this the same guy that played for Spurs?

same guy who played for Spurs and Wolves. Hes unattached at the moment so would be able to sign for us.

The deal would more than likely be a pay as you play.

So, this is a total, unabashed rumor, but I found a thread here on BS (https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?p=7666676#post7666676) where a guy is saying that while he met the USMNT in Germany today, Eddie Johnson told him that he was coming to Everton in the summer. Here's the poster's quote:

Eddie Johnson - He was kewl, I told him he should come to Europe to play and the only good rumor that night that I got was that he has been talking to Everton and will most likely be playing for them next season.

This is a move I would absolutely freakin' love to see. He'll be cheap (even if he shines at the WC), and he's very good, albeit a tad fragile (injury-wise). But lots of upside, IMO. I hope it's true.
