Indoor Soccer League expands to Maine
SEATTLE — The Developmental Indoor Soccer League has added an expansion team to Maine.
The DISL is a minor league that serves as a feeder to the MISL. The league has six teams in the Northwest and has organized a Northeast Division with six teams. The team's name is the Maine Surge and is slated to begin play in January.
The team is scheduled to hold its first set of tryouts/minicamp on June 16-17 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Howard Sports in Saco.
Participants must be 18 years and older and college players are also eligible to compete. Preregistration is required and players must fill out a waiver form and pay a fee of $35.
Howard Sports has registration materials at its front desk. Those interested can also e-mail the league at mainekick@aol.com to get a form. The deadline to register is May 25.
The check should be made out to The Developmental Indoor Soccer League. Checks and form can be mailed to: The Developmental Indoor Soccer League, 8620 23rd Ave., NE B101,Seattle, WA, 98115.

Next season they will expand to South Florida and then, in 2009, they will start a Baja California Division.
