Anyone else not getting the NE/SJ game on DirecTV Direct Kick right now? I don't care so much, because it's on FSW as well, but if I can't get Dal/Chi, thar's gwine to be trouble.
O.K, the bigger problem was CO-LA. Nuthin' for me on channel 797 at the appointed time. I called DTV about it and they said "some games on MLS DirectKick will be blacked out nationally; in this case, the game is only available in local markets on spot beam." WTF? What's the point of offering a game on a national package then, if it's only going to be made available locally? Even worse than the false advertising by MLS, DTV couldn't tell me how to determine whether a future game will be broadcast or not in advance, so I have no idea how many future games listed on the national schedule might be blacked out for me in San Francisco area. Did anyone else have trouble receiving CO-LA and call DTV and get a better explanation than I received from their CSR?
I did. I Tivoed it on the local sports channel and it didn't start recording till the 50th minute. Very strange and I was quite miffed, especially since I missed both of the game's goals.
No Direct TV, I have InDemand cable. All the games were blacked out for me. I called the cable company and he said I was regionally blacked out. Living in Nebraska with the games in Chicago, Kansas City and Denver, I was was stuck in the freaking Bermuda blacked out triangle. The games weren't blacked out last year. This sucks!
O.K., more discussion of this here. Sounds like it was a problem with the feed, not a blackout as the rep I spoke with suggested.
