Help! I've never been to Dallas before.....

I've checked the Inferno page, but they only seem to have directions from parts of Dallas.

I can't even find the address of the stadium, so I can't even use yahoo.maps

Anyone know any good hotels nearby?

    Here ya go Stopper4.

I'd come up I45 till you get to I20 which runs E-W ~20 miles south of Dallas. Take 20 West to 360. Take 360 north.
    Take Glade Road exit
Take a left at Glade Road exit
Go through stop sign at Baze Road
Take a right at the traffic signal (Shell station will be on the right)
Stay on frontage road for 121
Take a left at Hall-Johnson Road (Eckerd Drug will be on the right)
Warning: Hall-Johnson is a four lane road and is prone to cruising police patrols who love to give out tickets
Take a right on 26 (Texaco station will be on your right; Grapevine High School will be on your left)
First traffic signal take a left - Kimball Avenue (Heritage Business Park)
Take a right into Dragon Stadium, you're at the south parking lot - take a left into parking.

For a rough idea just stick in Southlake, TX into Mapquest. We'll be at the stadium by noonish.

    See ya there.

    Much obliged.

About how long does the Houston to Dallas trip take?

4 hours seems like a long time, as the trip seems mostly interstate (I-45) and everyone in Texas seems to do 80 on them.

Anyone heard of the Marriott Solana in Westlake? Claims to be only 2.3 miles from Southlake.

I'd say 4 hours is about right.

If you drop me an email @ jonnojohnson@yahoo.com I'll forward it on to our local Southlake resident who can recommend a nearby hotel.

    Jonno.

This ain't a plug, but if you want an inexpensive hotel hotel, try hotwire.com

There's no need to pick a place that's close to the stadium, is there?

Marrott Westlake is nice, very nice, but maybe a little pricey and a little far out. It is not far from the stadium, but does require going through an area of construction to get there.

You may want to check out hotels in Grapevine. There is a more moderatly priced one at 114 and Main street. I don't remember the name.

Any of the DFW Airport North hotels on 114 would be reasonably close also.

Travelocity.com or another tool should be able to find something in Grapevine.

    Big clue

Look for the police shaking down fans in red with confetti and weapons of mass destruction.

I'll try to get there early for some tailgating. Plus, the first 7,000 fans apparently get mini-soccer balls......

I'll be the guy in a red shirt and purple LSU Tigers hat.

Please introduce yourselves if you see me.
