Does anyone know what the deal is with Dimelon? I know he wasn't due to turn up before he graduated, but I'd guess he's out of school now. Is he out of the picture (perhaps due to turn up next year, a la Shalrie), or might he still turn up to train with the Revs?

He was in training with the Revs early this summer and is still on track to try out for a roster slot when he graduates. Because of his age he will not be elegable for the Dev Roster when he joins the team. Does anyone know how many years he has left before graduation?

He graduated this year, probably this month or last month. That's why I'm asking.

Are you sure??? If my memory serves me in the piece that I read about his training with the Revs it also said that he was going back to school. It may be that he has a few courses left to finish and will join the Revs in next years preseason. At this moment I'm not sure theres someone on the roster he could beat out.

Yes George, I'm sure he's graduating this year. The reason he was going back to school after being drafted was because he was still in the middle his senior year.

So does anyone (Mike, Tony, Tim?) know where Dimelon stands in the Revs' plans? He's still on the Revs' site as part of the roster.

Ah so--maybe he is out of school.

BTW, He's not on the roster--only on the "Rev control his option" list.

Has he gone off to try his luck in another league?

Though that may be true of MLSNet, it's not according to the Revs' site. Go there and view the "full roster".

I think theres a clue to his status in that he doesn't have a number----he's not signed.

You're missing the point. Even though he may not have a contract, he's still listed as on the roster. Shalrie's name was long gone by this same time last year. Consequently, there's evidence that he's still in the minds of the Revs' staffers, and one might assume that he may yet turn up this year.

He was reportedly practicing with the team in early May for a week, then was heading back to Clemson. I looked at Clemson's website to see when summer programs finished up (since he probably had just finished spring semester when he worked out up here), and they have programs that complete every month (end of June, July and August). So, the earliest he would be finished would be end of this month, although it could be later.
