I'm not sure if anyone here will be able to provide an answer to this, but I figured this is as good a place as any to enquire.

I'm American, but my heritage/background is primarily British. Meaning I have english, welsh, scottish, and irish ancestors.

For some reason I just don't like the US national team - rub me the wrong way. So naturally, I look over towards the Isles for a national team to support.

Who the hell do I support? I'm sure there's some sort of tabboo when it comes to supporting all the UK teams.....though it'd be nice if I'm wrong.

Support anybody you feel an identity with ?

Some British people do support all the home nations in sport - many English people support Ireland as a 2nd team - the average Scot supports Scotland and Englands opponenets - the Welsh seem to be divided between those that hate England and those that will support England.

It's complicated - so pick a relative who you particularly have a big empathy with and follow the team of their homeland ?
