I woke up this morning to a mimi earthquake.. my season ticket renewal form landed on my doormat.

Although its still a good deal considering the brand of football and always challenging for the league and the cups, at this point in time £825 ($1350) is a bit to much to try and find by june 1st.

Is anyone else out there in a dilema as to whether to re-new theres or not?

After all, yeah its a good chunk of money although not a kings ransom. After all, its only two weeks take home pay, and its for nine months top class football. People pay that for a two week holiday, so is it THAT bad? Its not the amount its just the time they give you to find it and having to pay that along with the regular bills.

Anyone get there re-newal forms and thinking along the same lines as me??

Compared to what the players earn, it seems morally wrong to have to pay that much, then again lesser clubs charge the same, if not more...

I can go either way, what is everyone else out there planning to do next season?? chances are i'll sell mine to my mate and join the travel club.

Beg, borrow or steal, but keep the tickets. I would imagine Arsenal America members could use them at least a dozen times and would obviously pay for them.

I am still waiting for mine to arrive. (Lower East Stand).
So that's a hike of about £125 on last year, and I have three of them! Just sent off my TRS membership renewals at £20 each! The main thing as you mentioned is the short space of time to get the money.
No, I won't be giving them up though. With thousands waiting to get them, and the waiting list is now between 8-10 years, it's just a question of "having to pay".
Even when they move to Ashburton Grove, only 14,000 extra season tickets are going to be allocated, so it won't clear that many off the waiting list. The price of success does not come cheap!

Jeff, im in the clock end (6 seats away from the visiting fans) and in the uncovered seating areas. ive got no idea how much elsewhere in the ground is.

Last season my clock end season ticket was £679 and as i say its now shot up to £825 BUT that includes having to pay for the cup ties Vs farnborough and chelsea as they had to send us extra vouchers. (its all explained in a letter)

I intend to keep the book in my name, but, ive got a three week holiday to pay for, clothes to buy for it, a mortgage to pay and general hosehold running costs, so having to dig out an extra £825 might take things to breaking point. Why cant they give us a minimuim of four weeks? cant they make it july 1st instead of june 1st?! ...that said.. the club would probably turn round and say youve had all season to get some cash saved up to ease the expense. By the way, they seem to have taken away the higher purchase option, i dont know if thats a new thing cos i always pay my cheque or credit card anyway.

Has anyone got any ideas about the pre season friendlies?

In the light of media reports this morning, it is worth clarifying the reasons behind the price changes for Arsenal Bondholders next season.

The scheme was introduced in 1991 and was designed to raise money for the construction of the forthcoming North Bank stand. There were two options - Bond A for £1,500 or Bond B for £1,100 - and 3,400 supporters took up the offer.

For that lump sum investment, Bondholders had the opportunity to buy a seat in the North Bank for 150 years. As an additional benefit, they could buy a season ticket or tickets for individual matches at a concessionary price for the first 10 seasons - 1993/94 to 2002/2003.

That period has now run out so ticket prices have moved in line with those of other supporters.

"Bondholders have enjoyed significantly discounted ticket prices for the past 10 years as part of their debenture agreement and have saved between £3,000 and £4,000," said an Arsenal spokesperson.

"It was certainly a sound financial investment. As bondholders are aware, the agreement for discounted tickets has now expired and it is only fair that their tickets are comparatively priced with all other supporters' tickets situated in the North Bank.

"Bondholders not wishing to renew their season tickets will of course continue to have first refusal on tickets on a match-by-match basis."

i'd take them. Of course, I don't live on my own and don't have to pay bills and all that junk. I'm hoping to get either Bears or White Sox tickets after I graduate from college and start making some dough.

Mine arrived today, £1,095 pretty much what I expected, I plan to pay some cash & put the rest on my credit card , which still has 5 months interest free to run, then in 5 months transfer it to a new interest free card, closing the old account.

Don't surrender your season ticket I know plenty of people who did and now regret it!!, many of these would buy your ticket if you decided to sell, I'd beg borrow or steal to keep mine, I mean lets face it I'd be given jobs to do at home on a saturday, my alcohol intake would be halved, who needs that I ask!!!

All the details can be found here, I haven't got one as my current card still has 5 months interest free to run on it.
