I think there's more than just an apology behind this and his visit to Chelsea's training. Maybe it isn't a casuality. What do you think?
He may be just shagging some birds down in the City but then again, he may be just looking for a job. But in England? Naah, you're kidding me Diego. I love you man but don't embarrass yourself anymore. After all, what's to back you up in your CV? Being an inspirational figure ain't enough to coach in England, or for that matter, anywhere. This is an extract from the Telegraph:
I just heard he attended the game between Atlético and Valencia for the Copa del Rey too. I don't know if that was before or after visiting Chelsea.

Seeing this flurry of public and media appearances by Diegote, I can't help but think of it as another desperate cry for help of a broken man. Broken in every possible sense of the word.
How so? At many points in my life following his career I've hated him and loved him. I read the sun article and it seems he is wiser than before, I can only hope those words are spoken with truth and humbleness. I still despise him for wasting away his talent to drugs, but still love him for everything he's given Argentina football. I hope from here on out he truly has a good life and even his failures are positive experiences (like being given a job at a firm, but doing horribly). Lets hope he does well.
The thing is I have seen this story so many times that I am very skeptical. Of course I want him to do well, but imo that means him living a private normal life. The more he is under the media spotlight, the more he looks like a clown. Just think of what he has to offer to football: besides his magical aura, not much else. He plays this ************ indoor football thing, makes a lot of nonsensical comments and keeps pointing his fingers at almost everyone. You see he's angered, frustrated and suffering. I understand him. He seems to have got his life back and now that he feels well to do something, he realizes that you have to back your ambitions with more than a name. Let's face it: in this uber-profesional football world, he hasn't not much going for him. Only his name. And I hope for his own sake, that he start using it wisely and keeps as low a profile as he can. He doesn't need to come to England or Spain saying that he wants to coach in Europe. He looks a bit ridiculous to me. But as I said in my earlier message, this is just a feeling I have. It's like that saying: Tanto va el cantaro a la fuente que al final se rompe. No matter how hard I want him to succeed, I just don't feel it's going to happen. I hope I am wrong, though.
Maradona should live his life as he wants, if other people have a problem with that then tough sh**. The guy is never boring.
Tsk. Now he returned to Argentina and no one saved from the critic, the sun included. http://www.as.com/futbol/articulo/maradona-the-sun-busca-peor/dasftb/20080205dasdasftb_24/Tes
To me the guy is a mix of Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire and Pablo Escobar. He's a cheater who could have done great things for others, and all he cared about was himself. Between glorifying himself with hand goals, using performance enhancing drugs and joking on tv about drugging rival team's players with tranquilizers before games I believe he shoveled dirt over any nice goals he may have scored, IMHO, he is far from top 5 in the world, sorry..
