This player is coming to Maccabi Haifa on trial from Club Deportivo Universidad de Chile. Can someone please tell me more about him? We need to fill a place in striker because we loaned our Nigerian international, Yakubu Ayegbeni, to Portsmouth and it will turn into a transfer if they get promoted.
Sorry, it seems I spoke to soon. After just one practice with the club, Maccabi Haifa manager Avraham Grant has decided to release Rivarola because he says that he needs a striker who is better than what he has now. Apparently Rivarola did not impress after training today with Maccabi Haifa's youth team.
Actually, Diego Rivarola seems close to be signing with U. Catolica from Chile. Hejust had a 1-year spell at Atlante in Mexico (might be Atlas--I always get them confused) in which he had only a handful of apps. and also just one goal. Before that he played for U. de Chile in from 99 to 2001. He came to Chile from the Reserves of Platense. Hope this info helps/
