    Honestly for me that one doesn't really mean anything anymore. If you win the Euro Cup you need to win the World Cup. If you win the World Cup, well you already won the biggest you can win

    Looking back on it, it's really incredible that we won this World Cup. Everything was working against us.

    -Injuries to Gomez, Lasogga, Gündogan, Neuer, Schweinsteiger
    -Late injury to Reus right before our flight to Brazil
    -Serious doubt Neuer would be fit in time. Many, including myself, thought that Weidenfeller would do great, which he probably would have, but Neuer was on another level and without him this isn't possible
    -Serious doubt Schweini would be fit and that he could actually contribute. He had a pretty weak season at Bayern IMO, but he completely turned it around this World Cup and played like a champion tonight

    Maybe losing to Chelsea in 2012 was a blessing in disguise. Bayern came out the next year absolutely possessed and with a whole different mindset. They brought that to the National Team in this tournament and it seemed to have rubbed off on others to.

    I'm going to sharpie the 4th star on all of my German gear that have only 3 stars. Peasants at Adidas couldn't make all of this years gear with 4 stars already, since it was a foregone conclusion we'd win it all? smfh

    Don't forget Badstuber. He played LB for us in 2010 and probably would have done a better job then Howedes. Not that ultimately it didn't matter in the end. Also Schmelzer.
