Went for the money. Let him go, we don't need a player like him, I thought he wanted a challenge, but instead went to a league that won't give him much. The only thing there is Asian Champs League. He could've went for Bolton or Hertha, gotten much more notoriety, and a better chance of winning a prestigious title, but instead went for the money.

Basteurk only out for 2 weeks, better than I expected.

No news on the transfer front...it has been a fairly weak transfer season for Hertha. In the kicker interview, Hoeness showed a distinct lack of ambition for the club. This guy doesn't take enough risks, I know he doesn't have a lot of money, but he should take a risk. A good investment in a striker will cost money now, but could earn money in the future (i.e. Champions League qualification). Also, he says he thinks Hertha are not even capable of reaching CL this year. We were one point from getting that berth, Hoeness only talks ********, he will never be as good in management as his brother.

Friedrich is captain again, w/ Marcelinho and van Burik vice-captains.

No news on Santa Cruz...he will join us, but I'm more convinced he's going to join next year, which doesn't help us now.

Dardai rejects Bielefeld offer...for now he is still in the squad.

Hertha tie St. Gallen of Switzerland, Wichniarek once again is poor (hint, hint Mr. Hoeness. :D )

Hertha have ended their interest in Wolfsburg striker Diego Klimowicz.

That is your daily Hertha news :D Toon in again tomorrow.

    Nice pic, bad news :(

I think Stuhr-Elleghard might start instead. I know nothing good about Tremmel TBH.

If the Hertha coach is smart he has to start Stuhr-Elleghard.

    Tremmel is just terrible.

I was thinking that myself. I guess he just couldn't adapt to Germany. Not every Brazilian striker can be an Elber.

This maybe bad...but I see this as a potential opportunity. Stuhr-Elleghard is a young guy, I think he should have a chance, see how he does. He has a shot at being the Danish #2 behind Thomas Sorensen, this could be his shot to become a factor in the Danish NT setup.

    Bad bad luck guys.

Well, we'll have to see how he does before further judgements are made. I meann no one has seen him play 200 BC., so...

The Fiedler injury is very bad news indeed, out for at least six weeks, which for now only affects the first 3 weeks of the season...but it could be more time than that, really really bad news...

Hmmm...maybe its the impending doom clouds or the fact that I'm just paranoid, but I have a feeling this season is going to be a LOT like 2 years ago... :(

I just wanted to pop into to wish you guys good luck for the coming liga-pokal game VfB - Hertha, which will be both of our sides first professional matches of the season. I doubt that i can make pre and post match comments on it since i'm on holliday and i don't think there's internet in the place where i am at the time of that game, so i just wanted to wish the best of luck now.

Hertha's Nigerian hotshot Solomon Okoronkwo has received the interest of Milan, Monaco and Spurs..but he says he is committed. I think if he stays in Hertha, he will have PLENTY of first team experience, because we don't seem to be getting a striker anytime soon.

Fiedler is also out until end of August. Which means a lot of Tremmel, because Goetz, according to Kicker, doesn't want to burden young Stuhr-Elleghard. At 22, I think he should be given some pressure, but Tremmel is still young as a goalkeeper, maybe he'll shock us.

I reminded myself to put my 1,000th post on BigSoccer on the Hertha subforum which was my brainchild. So here's congratulations to me, on actually making it to 1,000. :D :)

Actually its proably not even my 1,000th post. I've had at least 100 posts on Asia NSR alone, but NSR posts don't count. Kinda like the League Cup. :D
