Thanks for the welcome guys. I've been enjoying following Union, clearly a special club. I've got a good friend -- a Berliner -- who happens to be a Hertha supporter. He's not so happy that I prefer Union

What a great comeback by Benjamin Köhler in yesterday's test match against AFE Espana (4:0 for Die Eisernen)! After a whole year of absence due to his shocking cancer diagnose he played for 80 minutes, assisted a goal and shot one by himself (a penalty)! Welcome back Benjamin! What a fighter, fits perfectly for the club. Another interesting fact: in February last year the club extended his contract with Benjamin as a clear sign of support in this terrible personal situation. I can only applaud everybody involved. Makes you proud to be a follower of this club.
I had no idea that we had the money to afford Kroos, just lying around. Big step for the Eiserne to establish themselves as a european power...
Well.. the everlasting talent. Let's see what Lewandowski can tickle out of him. But what has happen to Felix the last years? I thought he's a forward now he's brought in for the holding midfielder position?! Didn't follow him much the last years, though.
Great match today versus 1860. It is a physical but fair played match from both teams but mostly controlled by Union and with more and better chances as well. Bobby Wood and Brandy with a great match. Thumbsup Great atmosphere as usual Edit: 3:0 Edit: bobby almost with the 4th, 1860 fall apart
Finally a 4 man defense, hope the 3-5-2 is burried. edit: very physical beginning, Kreilach already with a yellow card.
2:1 win despite playing for most of the 2nd half with 10 men! Bobby Wood with the winner and Kreilach with the 2nd yellow. This means, at least tonight, a big jump upwards in the table from 13th to 9th. Very nice start to the weekend
Glad to see Felix being able to make good impact at Union. Both have been very nice goals he's scored.
Pretty well. His touch is still heavy and he's missed some obvious passes that would've become assists; but he works hard, runs a lot and has been a good goal-getter for our level.
Oh my god. Sascha Lewandowski suffers from the burn out syndrome. This is s real shocker. I wish him only the best, hope he will come back in the future. He was the perfect manager for the club.
I read Jens Keller will be taking over the reigns at Union from mid 2016. I don't know what the union opinion is of this or anything, but I wish him and you guys all the best. We should never have parted ways with him
You should've fired him much sooner and paid up for Tuchel. But I'm cautiously optimistic about him for us; he can't be as bad as Duwel, after all.
Yeah, this really ********ed me up yesterday. Reading into what caused him to step down, I was happy that he had seemed to forsee the problems and do what was right for him; but now...now my scarf has been soaked in tears and I just want to beat up a BFC fan. You are and forever will be part of the eisern family Sascha. RIP
On a lighter note, our u19s have their last match of the season on sunday. If they get a result against Magdeburg's kids or get some help from Erzgebirge Aue; they'll be promoted to the A-jugend BuLi.
Felix Kroos will be the new team captain next season. http://www.fc-union-berlin.de/profi...-neuer-Kapitaen-des-1-FC-Union-Berlin-18435e/
I knew we'd need a 3rd goal to get the win, still not bad for an early season match. We always start slow and are dealing with a new coach. Anyways Quaner & Leistner really impressed, Skrzybski had multiple very positive moments and for a period there we were moving the ball beautifully. I still want to see Furstner replaced so we can go with the Kreilach, Kroos, & Zejnullah trio that was so beautiful together for chunks of last season; but all in all a decent, if disappointing, showing. This team look like they can be very dangerous once they get into form: Skrzybski - Quaner/Hosiner - Brandy Kreilach - Zejnullah Kroos Pedersen/Parensen/Lenz - Schonheim - Leistner - Trimmel/Kessel/Quiring or Skrzybski/Brandy - Quaner/Hosiner Pedersen - Kreilach - Zejnullah - Quiring Kroos Schonheim - Leistner - Puncec/Trimmel/Kessel/Parensen
With Hosiner doing a fine job while filling in for Quaner, it's just our defense that still worries me.
