Here are some things to bring a smile to your face.... We've agreed a fee with PNE for Healy. He has a medical later today and if he agrees personal terms, he's ours. excellent. http://www.leedsunited.com/article....le=United+Agree+Fee+For+Healy&navlid=newsroom It looks like there is a deal to be completed tomorrow with some American investors who will buy the club for £25m. Debts would be paid, Thorpe Arch will be bought back, and rumor has it there will be £5m for Blackwell to spend. http://www.leedsunited.com/article....ment:+Negotiations+Continuing&navlid=newsroom http://www.reuters.co.uk/newsPackag...yID=610916&src=rss/uk/sportsNews§ion=news Today has been pretty good so far... And in medium news... Don Hutchison look to about to come to Leeds on a loan move.
Sebastian Sainsbury heads xonsortium. I am proud to be Anglo-American. I dream of saviour. I could not do it but reference take slack. A hefty fine for some. Sincerity, Damon Lee Hendley
good news about healy. hope he can score! ive heard the consortium is in risk of not getting the bid. gotta get the money together, which is something that so many other potential buyers havent done. a 5m transfer budget would be fantastic though, and i hadnt heard about him getting thorpe arch back, just clearing debts and giving a nice kitty.
I'd hate to get my hopes up AGAIN!... But this sounds like it might possibly save us... EVERY article I've read states they'll clear debts, and buy back our lease aggreements... But how many times have we all heard this, and where the hell was this consortium when Leeds was last sold?... My fingers are crossed...
well... its monday... and its near, what, 2 in the afternoon there... no word yet on proof (or lack therof) of any money, which i am taking as a negative sign. guess ill wait till later in the afternoon in the states to be for certain, though.
The word last week was "he hopes to talk to the press again on tuesday" Tomorrow is the day we'll find something out. From what i've heard, he'll be giving Krasner and co a cheque for £500k tomorrow.
"We want to clear the club's debts, which we understand currently stand at £17m, but the present board's conditions for a takeover changed three times last week." http://www.teamtalk.com/teamtalk/News/Story_Page/0,7760,982_145559,00.html They better not screw this up...
Well its officially unofficial. Leeds agree. If someone could tell me warp code tags for them cut and paste sections. It would help (I even went to barnes and noble book store no luck). It is not a big deal but its traits is from professionalism.
From what i have heard, they have proved that funds are in place.... Also... Welsh international midfielder John Oster is coming to Leeds on a month long loan from Sunderland. Also... Trial is being given to Icelandic international Gylfi Einarsson who plays for Lillestrøm in Norway. He was their 2nd top scorer this season with 12 goals in 25 matches. http://www.lsk.no/php/stallen.php?showid=11 He recently had a trial with Cardiff city as well. Since he cannot be signed until January he is looking at both clubs and will choose between us.
The word from my friend "in the know" is that the Leeds sale has been agreed. Should have new owners tomorrow. I'll tell you know more when i know more.
Here is what i've heard, still understand that this could be wrong, but it is what we think we know: Proof of the funds did indeed arrive in the form of a document from HSBC confirming cash in a UK branch. The board has verbally agreed and is scheduled to put out a statement sometime tomorrow morning, after having HSBC confirm the above to the club's solicitors WalkerMorris. The statement may be as late as lunchtime, confirming the UK/US bid has met all their criteria (including proof of funding). Then the funds will have to be transferred, and when that's done (Thursday, or poss Friday) the ownership will formally transfer to Sebastien Sainsbury and his team. There will be a fan's representitive on the board as well. Hopefully, more information soon. I can't yet confirm anything above, so take it with a grain of salt, i guess.
here is the Yorkshire Post saying similar: http://www.yorkshiretoday.co.uk/ViewArticle2.aspx?SectionID=89&ArticleID=884457
