Ok, I figured going to you guys was the best way to find out. I bought an Arsenal jersey, last year's home version with Dreamcast on the front, off of eBay. The Arsenal badge is where it should be. There's the Nike swoosh on the right chest. The "Dreamcast" lettering is a raised felt material. I'm wondering if I bought a fake though. It looks pretty good but upon further inspection I have a gut feeling it's fake. First off, I got it off of some guy in Thailand. Secondly, they're supposed to be Dri-fit jerseys right? Well the tag on the back of the collar is silk screened like all Nike Dri-fit shirts. But I've noticed that most have a little tag on the side that says Dri-fit. I mean, it came with Dri-fit tags attached to it, but I figure that these guys could've made one or got it off of something else. Also, I figured there'd be a manufacturers tag on the inside of the jersey but found nothing. I don't know, maybe I'm being paranoid but if you guys could clear the air for me a bit, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Does the label says 'Made in the UK'? If it is, then it's more likely to be genuine, cos that's what I've got on my shirt and I bought it from the Arsenal shop. Also, there should be a name tag at the bottom of the shirt, with the shirt size (S/M/L etc) for some reason. BTW, my shirt is from the season when we beat Manu at the Charity Shield. Can't remember what year it was though, was it in '98?

Maybe you should buy it from a UK seller next time cos they're more likely to be genuine, since it's easier for them to obtain. I know some countries like Italy sells a lot of fake shirts in the market. I even found one at the Roma Campiono (spelling?) Airport and I know that was fake cos it was obvious (the Dreamcast logo was printed on) and it was made in Portugal!

I've got both the navy blue and gold shirts from last year and they both have the dri-fit logo on the outside of the shirt in the bottom left corner of the front. Don't know about the red one though.

Yeah, I was looking for a tag on the inside and it doesn't have one. As for the screened tag on the back of the neck, it does say made in UK, but I figure anyone can make a fake label and put that on. Same with the tags that came with it. Bah, either way thanks for your help guys.

Just becuase its made in Portugal doesnt mean its a fake, in fact my SEGA 1999 away kit is made in Portugal and was ordered directly from ARSENAL.

It sounds as if Otter got a good shirt and as long as the color and quality are good who cares? There are several O2 jerseys on e-bay that are obvious rip offs and are even uglier than the real thing.

Yeah, I found out that indeed that it is fake. However I figure I got it for $20, it doesn't matter much. But it's definitely one quality fake. Kygunner, true on the O2 jerseys out there on eBay. Anyway, thanks guys for trying to help me out.

No problem. I wish I could get last years 3rd jersey(navy blue with sega on it), but was only able to find it on ebay a few months ago. Now all the Arsenal jerseys have dissappeared. Plus this is good because of the prices. I think Arsenal.com has their jerseys at 49.99 pounds or almost $70 and not including s+h. I should be getting my Sewed jersey in the next day or two so I'll let you know if the quality is as good as the price.

hanks for the welcome and those who told me about this place. I was wondering if there were any other Gunner fans here in the states. Come May, I say we throw a huge Arsenal Party some where.

Look forward to the play by play here tomorrow.

are you sure those jerseys are not fakes? $38 is kind of cheap for a jersey. Especially soccer.

No, they say it is a replicia. I'll find out today though if it is of any quality.

Well I got the Swden jersey today and here is what is has on it:

-There are two tags in the shirt with Adidas above:
The Sweden logo(tag one)& the flags and letter to indicate what size it is.

-On the front is the adidas logo(left) and Sweden Crest(right).

-At the bottom of of the shirt, it has the climalite tag.

Along with the shirt, the tags that you are suppose to take off, there is one for the climalite style(adidas version of Nike's dry fit), adidas thing with the 2002 logo on it with official Licensed Product below it, and a tag just for the 2002 FIFA World Cup logo.

Now it might a replicia, but for $38 for a jersey, I would have to say it is a good deal.

In honor of Ljungberg. Plus at the moment I might be going to Sweden and Denmark with my school on outreach+summer school credit. Never been to either places.

How long did you have to wait until the jersey arrived?

Well I had to wait longer than needed because they sent it to my parents house which is where my debit and credit card bills go to. However they say it will take between 14-21 days and if I remember correctly, it got there fairly fast. Not a bad shirt though. Pna on wearing it to the local club's play off game.
