Did any one watch that game on Fox yesterday and today? It was from Colombia.
What a freekin’ waste of time. Diving, tripping, pulling, gouging, kidney punching, butting. Someone tried to make a play once and was chopped down and carried off.
Do you South American guys watch this all the time and think you’re watching “The beautiful game” or is it just a cultural thing in Colombia…???

Well first of all the beautiful game comes from "Jogo Bonito" which was coined for Brazilian Soccer and not Colombian soccer.

The Brazilian Championship 2002 was exceptional, with many talents arriving, great goals and some amazing skill displayed. Hope you caught the final on FSW last week.

I watched it and it was amazing.. Santos is bringing back a more wide open and flowing style with their young line-up and I hope it continues and spreads to more of South America.
Sometimes Columbian soccer is a bit tedious but it can also sometimes be great.
Same with most leagues. I saw some Brazilian games this year that left much to be desired also but I saw nothing better from So. America than Santos this year and that includes everything from Argentina.
I hope Santos keeps their young stars through the Copa L'..

In general soccer in South America is very physical and the average number of fouls is much higher than in Europe.

As for the Beautiful Game... at least every now and then it comes through. Santos being the best current example.

the colombian league sucks, if you are going to generalize the game in south america by using colombia that is an insult.

My question was on the Colombian match "It Sucked...!!!"
    Is this a typical match...???
I wanted to see the Brazil final but missed it.

If you're comparing the two, that means you didn't see either. You're just upset because I didn't like your Colombian teams
