    To his critics, Armey says that's precisely why he left his job as majority leader. He was having to make even more serious compromises on policy under a Republican president than he did under Clinton, and he no longer wanted to have to take party positions contrary to his philosophy.

    That's pretty amazing, IMO. Armey, I figured, was always first in line at kool-aid cooler.

    This is the man of whom Paul Begala once said "If goofy ideas ever went to $40 a barrel, I'd want the drilling rights to Dick Armey's head. '' That's how much he pissed off the Clintonites. And now he's bashing Bush? Whoa.
