Albion are reporting that an agreement has been reach to loan Danny Dichio to Derby County for a month. http://www.wba.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10366~438924,00.html Megson feels Deech needs to be playing, and not sitting on the bench. With Derby losing Junior and Mathias Svensson to injury, Deech should be a regular in the Rams' first 11. Megson is apparently willing to go with Hulse, Hughes and Dobie as our key strikers. I think it's doubtful Roberts will be recalled from Pompey. On a side note, since the loan is only for a month, that means that Dichio should be back with the Baggies well before Albion hosts County at The Hawthorns on Boxing Day.
Now it appears Danny would like to extend his loan spell at Derby rather than return to the Albion to sit on the bench. http://icbirmingham.icnetwork.co.uk/baggies The question is, though, haven't injuries forced us to need another striker? Should we recall him? From what I've heard, it's not all bad news (nor all good news) regarding Deech's performance while he's been with the Rams. And of course, if we do negotiate to extend his loan, we could well be in the awkward position of seeing Dichio line up against Albion on Boxing Day, as I mentioned above.
Apparently Danny is back from Derby County. But a number of clubs - including Derby - are interested in buying him from Albion. If WBA do bring in another striker, it is likely he will be allowed to test the transfer market.
Several sources are saying that the "London clubs interested" are Millwall and QPR. It seems GM may also be still looking at Carl Cort from Newcastle after DD heads out.
Well hopefully Sir Bobby will reconsider a possible loan offer... unless Albion are now looking to buy him outright. It doesn't seem like Newcastle fans would be sad to see him go, though.
