MLS Confidential reports that Diallo is on his way to Saudi Arabia for approx. $500K. Was this expected?

Personally I think Mamadou is a good player, but if $800,000 is the price for his transfer than MLS should jump at the chance to sell him. Put the transfer fee together with his salary (I assume 200k plus) and you're talking about 1/2 of a teams salary budget for next season.

This is also good news for Diego Serna who consistantly complained to MLS that he was the one true dive artist in the league...now that Big Whiner is gone (possibly), we can all go back to wearing our 'Dive, Diego, Dive' shirts like we used to....

    Peace

So they just funded between a third and a half of one team's roster for next year by getting rid of a guy none of those teams wanted to deal with.

    Righteous.

Each team has at least one true dive artist -- else you haven't been paying attention to league parity. :p

LOL...Nice! So we need to get a vote going as to each team's artist and take it from there....

Ringo, I don't know whether or not you intended that as a joke, but I'm still laughing my arse off!

I don't think Mamadou likes the cooler weather very much. I think that's why he left his former club in Norway to go to play for Hankinson in Tampa. Now he'll get it nice and hot, but dry.

I actually like watching Diallo play, but if 800,000 is the right price there is no reason MLS shouldn't sell.

According to several Metro sources, this is an offer, not a done deal, and MLS has not yet decided to take it.

That's because they are trying to figure out if he's worth that much in fine money over the rest of his contract.

I'm very happy Diallo is leaving. I never liked him and that's a good amount of money for him, especially with the transfer market now.
